Mitt Romney Slams Obama’s Foreign Policy: A ‘Monumental Bust’

As it turns out, much of what Mitt Romney said during that late Presidential election about the disaster that is Obama’s foreign policy has turned out to be 100% right. Now he is jumping into the fray once again to remind everyone that he warned us all.

If you’ll remember, during the 2012 debates, Romney really hit Obama on his failed foreign policy.

Now Romney is reminding us all how right he was about how wrong Obama is. As Cathy Burke writes:

Romney’s rousing 15-minute speech was the only one open to the media – and he took full advantage, blasting the foreign policy agenda of President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as a “monumental bust.”

“Tragically, all we’ve fought for in Iraq, all that 4,500 American lives were shed to gain, is on the cusp, potentially, of vanishing,” Romney said.

He also pointed to crises that have flared under Obama’s watch, including the civil war in Syria, North Korea’s testing of nuclear missiles, and Russia’s capture of Crimea.

He needled Clinton for once presenting Russia’s top diplomat, Sergey Lavrov, with a red button labeled “reset” to symbolize the thawing of U.S.-Russian relations, and then recently declaring Russian President Vladimir Putin might not like her new book.

Of course, this is all fueling speculation that Romney might try for the nomination again in 2016. Let’s hope that speculation is empty as we don’t want a four-time loser running for President.

Still, he was 100% right about nearly everything he said about Obama’s disastrous foreign policy.
