Nonsensical Attempt to Tie Loughner to Conservatives Is Deliberate Strategy

To the extent Jared Loughner’s psychotic views have any political coherence, they are decidedly left wing[1]. Yet liberals have raised a deafening chorus attempting to blame conservatives for the incomprehensible horrors he inflicted. This may be a reflexive reaction by truly unhinged moonbats like Hanoi Jane Fonda[2] and Clarence Dupnik[3], who can be counted on to blame their ideological opponents for any and all misfortunes. But for others, it is part of a deliberate political strategy[4].

Timothy McVeigh brought Bill Clinton’s first term back from the dead and made the second possible. The goal is to transform Jared Loughner into Obama’s Timothy McVeigh.

One veteran Democratic operative, who blames overheated rhetoric for the shooting, said President Barack Obama should carefully but forcefully do what his predecessor did.

“They need to deftly pin this on the tea partiers,” said the Democrat. “Just like the Clinton White House deftly pinned the Oklahoma City bombing on the militia and anti-government people.”

There being zero evidence of Loughner having anything whatsoever to do with Tea Party politics is an obstacle that progressives hope to overcome with a barrage of the very overheated rhetoric[5] they so piously denounce.

With a few loony exceptions, liberal propagandists are perfectly aware that there is no reason to blame conservatives for Loughner. But they are also aware that most people don’t follow the news closely, and are swayed by general impressions of the kind being deliberately created when the media implies over and over again that the Tea Party is somehow responsible.

In politics, perception is reality — even if that perception is based on lies.
