Societal Implosion: Boy Scouts Ban Evil Water Guns, Girl Scouts Let Boys in Saying ‘There Isn’t One Type of Girl’

As society crumbles our once noble institutions grumble with it. Now, defining stupidity to an ever lower level, two of our most venerable institutions are obviously crumbling. The Boy Scouts have just banned water guns because “guns” and the girl scouts are now letting boys in who claim to be transgender because “there isn’t only one type of girl” out there.

First comes the Boy Scouts of America to say that water guns are now banned among the scouts. Why? Because “pointing guns at people” is bad.

A blog for the organization’s leaders said May 6 that pointing simulated firearms at people is not allowed.

“Why the rule? A Scouter once told me this explanation I liked quite a bit: A Scout is kind. What part of pointing a firearm [simulated or otherwise] at someone is kind?” said Bryan Wendell on the scouting website.

The rule is clarified in the Boy Scouts of America National Shooting Manual, which says “For water balloons, use small, biodegradable balloons, and fill them no larger than a ping pong ball. […] Water guns and rubber band guns must only be used to shoot at targets, and eye protection must be worn.”

Negative feedback flowed into the comments section of the blog.

“This makes BSA look ridiculous and has little if any impact on safety,” said Gary Holeiwnski.

So, we are teaching scouts that fantasy (pointing pretend guns filled with water at people) is just the same as pointing real guns at people?

I thought the Boy Scouts was all about building men, not infantalized idiots.

Next come the Girl Scouts who have decided that girls can be boys if those boys “feel” like a girl.

In an effort to “serve all girls”–and by that they mean boys–the GSA is now letting in transgender boys.

Girl Scouts has valued and supported all girls since our inception in 1912. There is not one type of girl. Every girl’s sense of self, path to it, and how she is supported is unique.

The foundation of diversity that Juliette Gordon Low established runs throughout Girl Scouting to this day. Our mission to build “girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place” extends to all members, and through our program, girls develop the necessary leadership skills to advance diversity and promote tolerance.

If a girl is recognized by her family, school and community as a girl and lives culturally as a girl, Girl Scouts is an organization that can serve her in a setting that is both emotionally and physically safe. Inclusion of transgender girls is handled at a council level on a case by case basis, with the welfare and best interests of all members as a top priority.

As we face a complex and rapidly changing 21st century, our nation needs all girls to reach their full potential, which has been our focus for more than 103 years.

This is just one of many problems with the GSA these days. The Girls Scouts already support abortion as an official GSA policy.

With the implosion of the Boy and Girl Scouts, we must understand that our society is now lost to sanity.
