Stimulus Wednesday: Where’s The Money (Not) Going?

The Generational Theft Act has been on the books for over a year at this point, and Sheriff Joe and other Obama peeps will travel around the country pushing their unbelievable unpopular Stimulus plan. Just how unpopular?

A CBS News/New York Times poll from last week found that just six percent of Americans think the stimulus act will create jobs. A plurality of 48 percent think it will not create jobs, while 41 percent believe the act has not created jobs but will.

I wonder how they are going to blame Bush for the failure of the legislation? Legislation that has created/saved jobs primarily in the public sector, growing the size of business, increasing the salaries of those who serve at the government teet.

So, where is the money actually going? How about….

More than $3.5 billion in economic stimulus funds are going to programs that President Obama wants to eliminate or trim in his new budget.

Is Sheriff Joe on the case? Do the website numbers match? And then we have this

So far, only about 1/3rd of the stimulus money has been spent, and, shockingly, a large majority of the remaining money will be spent in 2010. Does something special happen this year?
