UPDATE: NPR Chief Resigns Under Pressure Because of Video

As of yesterday’s debut of James O’Keefe’s video showing NPR executives revealing their hatred for Americans while cozying up to enemies of the country by schmoozing with what the execs thought were radical Muslims willing to donate money to NPR, the CEO of NPR has now resigned.

Vivian Schiller, the woman responsible for the hashed-up firing of Juan Williams last year, has resigned in the face of pressure from NPR’s board. After meetings yesterday evening the board told Schiller that it would be best if she resigned and so she did. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

NPR itself did a good job of covering the situation in a series of updates to its The Two-Way blog.

Also, to update the status of the exec in the video that announced his own resignation from NPR yesterday, Ron Schiller (no relation to Vivian above) has now announced that he won’t be going to the Aspen Institute after all. Apparently, Aspen didn’t want the bad publicity of having an anti-Semite like Schiller joining its staff!

Now we have to work even harder on removing all tax dollars going to support NPR and PBS.
