We’re Going To Blame Bush Forever

This begs the most basic of questions about Barack Obama.

In the video, (former Clinton Secretary of State Madeleine) Albright is seen telling a story about an exchange with a man during a Truman Foundation event, as he asked her how long Democrats would blame the previous administration for their problems.

“All of a sudden this man gets up and says, ‘How long will you blame the previous administration for all of your problems?'” Albright recounted. “I said, ‘Forever.'”

The story prompted laughter and applause from the crowd.

This was at an Obama campaign event and it is in keeping with the way Obama has run his campaign, isn’t it? He’s failing as President, but that’s not his fault. It’s Bush’s fault for leaving him problems. It’s the Republican Party’s fault for not doing whatever he wants. It’s Europe, it’s ATM machines, it’s the media, yada, yada, yada.

Some of that always happens, but Obama has taken it to an extreme. We’re 3 1/2 years into his presidency, he’s a miserable failure — but none of it is his fault. He’s just a victim! Of course, if that’s true, why reelect Obama? He’s not even running on a 2nd term agenda. It’s just reelect me so I can fail for another four years and blame it on other people! What kind of message is that? Why would any rational person who’s not a diehard partisan want that?
