Yesterday, Hillary Showed You What’s Wrong With Her And Obama

Like Barack Obama, Hillary is completely unqualified for the position she holds. In fact, her entire career in the Senate, her run at the Presidency and the job she now holds are all owed to the fact that she married the right man, as opposed to any accomplishments of her own. There are millions of different women who could be Hillary Clinton (and if Bill had his way, there would be — at least for a night at a time). Hillary had no accomplishments or even stands of note while her husband was President, did nothing special while she was in the Senate and has done nothing worthwhile since she became Secretary of State — yet, she’s probably the most likely candidate to be nominated by the Democrats for the presidency in 2016.

Yet, she was a disaster yesterday at the hearings on the Benghazi killings. Rand Paul did the best job of pointing that out.

“I’m glad that you’re accepting responsibility,” Paul continued: “I think that ultimately with your leaving, you accept the culpability for the worst tragedy since 9/11. And I really mean that. Had I been president at the time, and I found that you did not read the cables from Benghazi — you did not read the cables from Ambassador Stevens — I would have relieved you of your post.

Clinton testified that she did not see the cables requesting beefed-up security in Libya: “I did not see these requests. They did not come to me. I did not approve them. I did not deny them,” she said.

“I think it’s inexcusable,” Sen. Paul told her. “The thing is, is that — we can understand that you’re not reading every cable.” Paul referred to several cables dealing with relatively trivial matters.

But, he added, “I think it’s inexcusable that you did not know about this and that you did not read these cables. I would think by anyone’s estimation, Libya has to have been one of the hottest of hot spots around the world. Not to know of the request for security — really, I think cost these people their lives. Their lives could have been saved had someone been more available, had someone been aware of these things — more on top of the job.”

Paul said he doesn’t suspect Clinton’s motives — he doesn’t think she was willfully negligent — “but it was a failure of leadership not to be involved.”

When Republicans tried to get to the bottom of the cover-up that the Obama Administration engaged in after the fact, Hillary was once again distinctly unimpressive.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was asked about ascertaining whether the Benghazi terror attack was the result of a protest by Senator Ron Johnson. “What difference, at this point, does it make?” Clinton shouted, seemingly losing her cool.

“With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night decided to go kill some Americans? What difference, at this point, does it make?”

Tell that to the families of the people who are dead because you didn’t do your job, Hillary. If someone competent had been charge, all of those men would be alive today. Moreover, the fact that Obama and his administration willfully deceived the American public about who was responsible because it made them look bad during an election doesn’t say much about their integrity.

Of course, to Hillary, this doesn’t matter because she’s hopelessly over-her-head. In her mind, her job is to sit at the head of the table at briefings, make comments to the press, and eat giant shrimp at parties with foreign dignitaries. It’s not about actually accomplishing anything, it’s about being a member of the right party and having the right “intentions.” Hillary means well, so it’s okay is as deep as it gets for liberals in her base and in the press. Unfortunately, for Ambassador Stevens and the other Americans who died because the people in the Obama Administration couldn’t find their own behinds with both hands, results and competency turned out to matter a lot more than good intentions.
