Actual Descendant Of Pocahontas Not Offended By Trump [VIDEO]

So, liberals are all kinds of upset that Trump mocked Senator Elizabeth Warren in front of the Navajo Code Talkers by calling her “Pocahontas,” which was inspired by her claims to Native American heritage.

Warren accused Trump of using a “racial slur” against her and it left many of us scratching our heads and wondering just how in the heck “Pocahontas” is an insult. In fact, I would think that the person who would be most insulted would be Pocahontas herself.

But since she’s not around, a direct descendant of the famous native woman decided to weigh in on the “controversy” and tell us what she thinks of Trump using her ancestor to mock Warren.

Back in September, an actual descendant of Pocahontas was asked if she thinks Trump using the name as a way to needle the progressive lawmaker was offensive to her or her family.

The answer might shock a lot of people, but it will definitely shut down the debate regarding whether it is a “racial slur.”

“I know that he uses ‘Pocahontas’ sometimes with Elizabeth Warren,” said Debbie “White Dove” Porreco, explaining that Trump himself asked her whether the name was offensive. “He said, ‘well does that offend you when I use that?’ And I told him no, it doesn’t offend me.”

“If Pocahontas were alive today, she would be very proud of President Trump,” Porreco explained. “Just like Pocahontas was a heroine, Donald Trump is going to be our hero.”

Compare and contrast this opinion with that of the woman who voiced Pocahontas in the Disney movie, Irene Bedard, who said that she doesn’t believe the native woman would be a big fan of Trump, though I’m relatively sure that she’s pushing her own biases on a woman she never actually knew.

“Do I think Pocahontas would be a fan of Trump? Oh no,” Bedard stated. “Misogyny and bullying and name-calling at its finest. It is not intelligent discourse.”

Now I’m not Trump’s biggest fan and anyone who knows me can attest to that, but I don’t believe that “Pocahontas” is a racial slur. And forgive me, Bedard, but I am going to be inclined to take the opinion of a blood relative much more seriously than someone who merely voiced her for an animated movie.

People need to get over themselves. Not every mean or rude thing someone says is going to be an “-ism” for SJWs to fight.
