It’s time for Time Magazine’s Person of the Year issue and this year’s recipient is not a surprise to anyone. President-elect Donald Trump was given the honor, with Hillary Clinton coming in second place to Trump yet again.
In addition to Trump and Hillary, “hackers” came in third place, with Vladimir Putin and Beyonce as other finalists.
Nancy Gibbs, Time’s editor-in-chief, said, “I don’t think that we have ever seen one person, operating in such an unconventional way, have an impact on the events of the year,” adding that it was the easiest decision the magazine has ever made. For his part, Trump said the award was a “very, very great honor.”
