The EPA is stocking up on Glocks. The IRS thinks it needs more sawed-off shotguns. Now the Department of Education is buying up sawed-off shotguns too:

RAMAC #24587 GAUGE: 12 BARREL: 14″ – PARKERIZED CHOKE: MODIFIED SIGHTS: GHOST RING REAR WILSON COMBAT; FRONT – XS CONTOUR BEAD SIGHT STOCK: KNOXX REDUCE RECOIL ADJUSTABLE STOCK FORE-END: SPEEDFEED SPORT-SOLID – 14″ LOP are designated as the only shotguns authorized for ED based on compatibility with ED existing shotgun inventory, certified armor and combat training and protocol, maintenance, and parts.

Combat training for bureauweenies in the useless Department of Education? It’s nice to see someone’s learning something, even if it isn’t our kids.

By the way, Big Government won’t let you own a shotgun if the barrel is less than 18 inches.

Except there are no federal school districts for these weapons to be given to. and 27 shotguns won’t go very far.

Maybe they’ll give ‘em to teachers in DC, to protect the teachers from the newly legally armed citizen/parents!

It’s interesting to ask why, but this is not something that is new.

Ah, this is an RFP from the DOE Office of the Inspector General, whose agents do indeed have a law enforcement capacity as federal agents. That’s why they already have a current arsenal and armor.

Short barrel rifles or shot guns are NFA items. You will most likely get approved to have one registered in your name if you can legaly buy any firearm. My last NFA purchase, post obama, took 4.5 months to process.
