The Crack Of Doom For Grassroots Conservatives In The 2012 Race

by John Hawkins | September 28, 2011 12:21 pm

Mitt Romney has been dominating New Hampshire and although nothing’s written in stone, he seems highly likely to win that state. After Rick Perry’s poor debate performance, where conservatives found out he was way off the reservation on illegal immigration, Romney has taken off in Iowa, too[1].

Iowa: Romney 21%, Bachmann 15%, Perry 14%, Paul 12%

Let me just say this: If Mitt Romney wins Iowa AND New Hampshire, the race will be over before it starts because with that much momentum, he seems likely to take South Carolina and roll on to an easy win.

Not good.
