Italian Reporter Attacked by Migrants on LIVE TV [WATCH]

An Italian reporter was just doing her job when things took a terrifying turn for the worst. Francesca Parisella was doing a live feed on homeless refugees and migrants in Rome. And there, on live television, Parisella and her cameraman were assaulted[1].

Parisella was reporting from the central terminal train station in Rome, where scores of migrants and refugees have begun “sleeping in the rough” at the station — a euphemism for homelessness. She pointed out that many of them were only camping out temporarily, before trying to make their way further north into Italy and then to Europe. And it was then that things went wrong.

“Their hope is especially to reach Milan … and then to move to Northern Europe,” she said. “It’s important to know that this reception – ”

It was at this point that the footage became shaky and Parisella could be heard breathlessly saying that they had been assaulted. “What’s happening, Francesca?” MATRIX anchor Nicola Porro asked from the studio. “They assaulted us, Nicola!” she answered, as they ran from the scene.

But the situation only got worse. As Parisella and the cameraman ran away, the unseen migrant evidently chased after them. Porro desperately urges the two to leave, saying, “Get out of there! Don’t worry!” Parisella cannot be seen in the footage, but as Porro calls to her, saying, “Francesca!,” she can be heard screaming at her assailant. “What do you want? What do you want?” she screamed. “You’re crazy!” Porro, powerless to help, can only say, “Oh, God. Francesca, get out of there!”

Porro cut the feed and then demanded for a producer to call the police. You can see the terrifying footage here:

A few minutes later, Porro explained what had happened. “Francesca is upset but well,” he said. “They have destroyed the camera and beaten the cameraman. A situation such as this evening’s should not be a report from a war zone. Thanks to a taxi driver, a much worse outcome was avoided.” Parisella then phoned into the studio, saying that they chased her and grabbed her jacket. It’s suspected that the taxi driver, who risked his life to intervene, may very well have saved the lives of Parisella and her cameraman.

In John Hawkins’ new book, ‘101 Things All Young Adults Should Know’, he teaches in number 16 of the book to be nice until it’s time to not be nice.

It’s incredibly compassionate to want to help migrants and refugees build new lives for themselves. But this kind of criminal behavior cannot be tolerated. Being kind and compassionate is a good thing… as long as you don’t lose your common sense in the process.
