Having Disarmed Population, British Authorities Are Going After Knives

Say liberals are able to confiscate every firearm that is not in the hands of the government or criminals, will they finally be satisfied and leave us alone? Of course not. The reason they call their ideology “progressivism” is that it never stops progressing, since absolute tyranny can never quite be achieved. Next after guns will be sharp objects. Airstrip One is already there. The following is not from The Onion, but from the official website of Lancashire Constabulary:

Lancashire Constabulary has joined forces with the ground-breaking national anti-knife crime campaign ‘Save a Life, Surrender Your Knife’, as the force’s knife amnesty comes to an end.

Since the amnesty began at the end of August, more than 800 knives have been handed in across the county – including swords, machetes and commando knives.

Axes count too. Presumably so do steak knives, pocket knives, butter knives, and possibly nail clippers.

Lancashire officers have now given their backing to a national initiative designed to raise awareness of knife crime and encourage the surrender of dangerous weapons. …

Despite the amnesty ending [in October], police say people can continue to hand in any knife at any police station with a front counter as well being able to drop them into the designated bins.

What happens to you if you are caught with a sharp object after the amnesty ends for real? Best not to find out; irrational tyrannies are to be avoided at all costs, so steer clear of Britain, even if the USA ranks even lower in personal freedom now.

No doubt authorities will be astonished when rendering the law-abiding population still more vulnerable to the criminal elements imported on a massive scale from the Third World does not end crime. Their response will be another righteous campaign, possibly against blunt objects.

On the level, I swear it.
