NSF Hands Out $229,061 Grant to Look for Microaggressions

The waste goes on and on and on, as federal bureauweenies search for ever more preposterous ways to flush our money down the toilet. If the money can be wasted and leftist propaganda be advanced at the same time, so much the better:

This week, the University of Georgia announced that one of their science and math professors, Mary Atwater, was given a $229,061 Early-Concept Grant for Exploratory Research to study microaggressions from the National Science Foundation. Their hypothesis seems to be that microaggressions are causal to a lack of diversity in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics or STEM fields for people of “African or Latino ancestry.”

Shining a light on lack of interest and/or aptitude, or on the defectiveness of inner city government schools, would quickly choke off the federal grant money pipeline, so the actual cause for the supposed shortage of diversity will remain a mystery.
