Schumer, McCain, Obama Not Giving Up on Gun Grab
The Senate will try again to pass recently defeated gun control legislation, and will be aided by increasing activism from previously neutral voters, Sen. Chuck Schumer predicted [Thursday] at a press conference.
“I think we will bring the bill back before the end of the year… lots of Senators who thought it was safe to vote against it [April 17] because of the intensity [of gun-rights supporters] are not so sure any more,” Schumer told reporters at an April breakfast hosted by the Christian Science Monitor.
Remember 2006, when John “Lettuce” McCain et al. tried to ram amnesty down our throats but had to back off because the people rose up in rage? He was left for dead politically. Two years later, by some miracle of evil, he was the GOP presidential candidate. Now he is pushing amnesty again as a member of the Gang of Eight Quislings. The same strategy of backing off in the face of public fury but then continuing to advance their pernicious designs after the anger has subsided applies to gun rights.
“I do agree with Chuck that I think the issue will come back,” said Sen. John McCain, who supported an amendment to expand background checks during an April 17 vote.
This indicates how far they are from giving up:
Obama’s Organizing for America is using some of the staff, data and techniques form Obama’s high-tech 2012 campaign to build public support for gun control.
The government can do literally whatever it wants to us once we have been disarmed. For an idea of what that has meant in the recent past, refer to the nightmare history of Soviet Russia and Nazi Germany.
In the classic movie Invasion of the Body Snatchers, malevolent aliens take over your life when you fall asleep. We are in the same situation; the instant our eyes close, Schumer, McCain, Obama and the rest will swoop in to take what’s left of our country.
