HuffPo Commenters on the Oregon Bomber
Written By : Dave Blount

Somali-born Mohamed Osman Mohamud thought he was serving Islam’s evil god by killing hundreds of innocent Americans at a Christmas tree-lighting celebration in Portland. Actually, all he was doing was walking into an FBI trap — and inspiring affection and spittle-spewing moonbattery among commenters at the largest liberal blog, Huffington Post. A few samples:

Look at this young man’s beautiful face. He could have been redirected to modeling instead of encouraged in terrorism by the FBI. What does that say about us?

HUFFPOST SUPER USER capt ayhab
How wonderful. Our entire intelligence apparatus is engaged in targeting a 16 year old Somalian named Mohammad, approaching him with fame and glory, wait till he is 18, teaching him how to build a bomb. Better yet build one themselves and detonate in remote area. Buy him a van, fill it with fake explosives. Get him a cell phone, give him a number to dial to explode the device in crowded and the arrest him.

harmlesstree
That’s what can happen when you support brutal policies against an individual’s homeland; and the U.S. supported the Ethiopian invasion of Somalia, along with many other things that go completely unreported in the MSM.

euell
I just feel terrible for his parents and family; our hearts and prayers go out to them.

photog606
ANOTHER “terrorist” manufactured out of whole cloth… the FBI only had to supply the time, the location and the phony bomb… then swoop in to save the gullible US citizenry from a scenerio THEY set-up and created.

Please make an attempt to educate yourself. Religious terrorism is not limited to one religion. Here you go: The Christian Militia plot against law enforcement

The FBI could encourage thousands of mentally disturbed individuals to enact their violent fantasies. This is a great make work program for informants, and a great way to enhance agents’ career prospects and to assure increased funding for the FBI.

Clueless Patsy Set-up by FBI in Christmas Tree Bombing Plot. The Global War On Terror mill needs a constant stream of patsies and dim wits to keep the charade in motion.

WRichardWagner

The FBI has hundreds of these muslim sleeper patsies. Whenever the public gets uppity about police state measures, they activate one.

WRichardWagner

Gotta keep the muslim terrorist phantom menace alive.

WRichardWagner

Good to know the FBI is keeping us safe by luring unstable youth into incriminating themselves, then busting them. I wonder how much this ”we’re fightin’ the terrists” PR theatre cost tax payers over 18 months.

And I am sure this attempted terrorist attack, by a Somali, has nothing to do with what the U.S. has done to his homeland, just like 9-11, and all the other acts of Islamic terrorism directed against us, had nothing to do with the brutal foreign policy America conducts within the Islamic world? I must say, I love sanctimonious Americans whose government is, and has been since WW2, the greatest purveyor of violence, to borrow a line from Martin Luther King, in the world ( the U.S. is literally responsible for the deaths of millions of innocent people over the last 60 years) lecturing Muslims about violence!

Didi5180
When the FBI identifies these kids that feel angry and disenfranchised – wouldn’t resources be better spent getting them some help instead of encouraging and arranging for them to commit a crime? If you look at all the recent “plots” most were helped along by the FBI themselves. Is this OK?

LunaPark
So why do you think he did it? Has anyone asked what is motivating these individuals into attacking the US?

writersbloc
As a Black kid, foreign and Muslim, I can imagine him being on the receiving end of taunts and harassment, or just isolation. Or maybe he’s a sociopath. Maybe his mom didn’t hug him enough. Maybe people won’t stop asking him about Somali pirates.

Johnny Steps

This shouldn’t even be news, and the fact that the mouthbreathers are insisting this is validation of the efforts of our right wing anti terror campaigns is just insulting to those of us with anything resembling intelligence.

EarDrummer
If america would learn humility then we wouldn’t have to worry about people trying to kill us, as it is, america’s lack of humility obligates people to kill us.

Johnny Steps

Take note everyone this is the right wing world view in action where we can manipulate people into serving the role of our boogeyman and thereby prove our usefulness merely by manufacturing an enemy.

Earl
Do you think that muslim kids might feel a bit more “American” if we weren’t reserving public spaces for christian-only ceremonies?

ItsBarranti
No, the threat was NOT real. It was fabricated. A poor minority was strung along by the FBI and then offered the tools and encouragement to do what they wanted him to do.

BIG JOHN
What’s worse, what this guy tried to do or what the teabagger who stumped the woman in the head did? I just wonder.…

One more pair:

twinite
My gratitude is immeasurable.… my daughter and granddaughter were at that tree lighting ceremony.

WRichardWagner
The bomb wasn’t real, so you were in no danger.

Relax, there’s no danger. Muslims are too cuddly to hurt anyone, and besides, when they kill us we deserve it for not being sufficiently moonbatty.

If anyone emerges more purely evil than Mohamed Osman Mohamud, liberals will fall on their knees and worship him.

september 11
Muslims are nice and it’s all our fault.

Compliments of Air2air. Cross-posted at Moonbattery.

To translate, liberals support violence. Even if this statement was true, it should not justify violence.

I thought, “An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.” I’ve seen that statement on numerous bumper stickers.

    So much for non-agression.

    • http://www.wordaroundthenet.com Christopher Taylor

Yeah you notice that the left can’t bring themselves to condemn or shout out against violence by non whites, and objectively, they support the use of violence against us by calling for us to do what the enemy wants. Its a call for the ones who use violence against us to succeed.

I don’t think they realize that, because one abiding characteristic of the left is the inability to reason through conclusions and what their ideas lead to. Its an infantile ideology that starts with emotions and rejects reason when it gets in the way of what they wish to be true.

      • StanW

CT, it is even more simple than that. Look at the way the Liberals on this board handle an argument.
        1) Observe the stated position of the Authors or Conservative posters on this site.
        2) Take opposite opinion.

This is why you see Liberals cheers against America and against everything they claim to stand for. It is because to do otherwise would put them on the same side of an issue as a Conservative. And that above all is, is the most distasteful thing a Liberal can do.

        • Gayunemployedmexican

Except I’m a liberal and I just agreed those comments are absurd. Stan do I have to whoop you on this like I did on dual citizenship?

          • Anonymous

Goddammit boy, make one post and stick with it! I am sick and tired of you making 3-4 replies to a single post.

Either say everything you want to say in one post or learn to use the freaking edit button.

        • Gayunemployedmexican

No to mention when discussing the case with people in real life, not the trolls on Huffpo, no one said anything about defending this guy.

        • Gayunemployedmexican

You can bash liberals all you want and say they don’t love America but I honestly think you are mistaken. In New York City and liberal law school land when we hear conservatives calling democrats unpatriotic, we think that it is an election ploy to get votes? We think, how can they seriously believe that the majority of us hate America?

The one incredible thing about this website is I found out it’s not just an election ploy. Some conservatives really do believe this, I am truly shocked.

I know when I read great U.S. cases like Harlans dissent in Plessy v Furgesson or Marshall in McCulloch v Maryland or, I get teary eyed with pride in the unique things we have accomplished.

I swell up with emotion when I think about our great foreign policy success and the sacrifice our troops have made, a sacrifice I know I have been too selfish to make myself.

So you can go ahead and believe liberals hate America. Just know that we think that those accusations are lies to get votes. That’s how insane we think those accusations are. We know we love America, and you can pull out a few wackos on Huff Po and say they are representative of liberals but that is a load of BS. No one I know had anything to say about the bomber except they are glad he was caught and that they’re a lot of people who hate us for irrational reasons and it is scary.

          • Don_cos

If you guys love America so much then stop trolling here and get your but over to the left wing blogs and raise a stink about the hateful crap spewing from your side!

          • Guest

That is your job. We come here so that people will have a rational opinion to read about the sometimes fabricated articles on this site. If people don’t see a factual counter argument, they are more susceptible to believe the article and comments they read are real. I can only hope that what these folks were commenting on is fictitious: “teaching him how to build a bomb. Better yet build one themselves and detonate in remote area. Buy him a van, fill it with fake explosives. Get him a cell phone, give him a number to dial to explode the device in a crowd and then arrest him.”

    • Anonymous

Why do I get the impression EarDrummer exempts him or herself from those comments. Of course, if that is so, EarDrummer has just displayed as much of a lack of humility toward Americans as he claims Americans show to the rest of the world. By the logic of his or her own post, Eardrummer’s “lack of humility obligates people to kill” him or her.

Commenters on HuffPo are exemplar of the disordered mentality that is liberalism.

  • Spikey

LOL, I would comment over there but my IP address was banned by huffpo long ago.

    • Rickvid in Seattle

Your own darned fault, Spike, if you wrote something true, sensible, logical…What’d you expect?

      • Spikey

I had a good run for a few years – screen name banned, started another went through 6 different screen names before they banned the IP. The IP got banned a few days after I wrote 2 pieces:
A long piece on; Al Gore – caveman – ice age – global warming, Al Gore wrote the post I was commenting on – so he probably was a bit pissed.
The other piece was for there weekly meatless mondays indoctrination, all I did was spruce up there recipe a bit with the proper techniques of smoking a 12lb pork shoulder and using the veggies they were making as a side.

        – I’m innocent -

  • http://arisenbe.blogspot.com Ron

I would reply to some of these comments over there but shouting into a vacuous tunnel is a waste of time. But it is fun to go over there and bait the idiots by pretending to hold similar views as them.

    • Spikey

I always viewed my commenting over there as: Educational and Insightful

Then again – pissing them off is good fun.

Shows how uninformed people are, this clearly was not a case of entrapment.

    “Earl

Ya hear that? It’s all because of Christmas. This is the ‘Reality-based Community’.

    • Anonymous

I expect then waves of christian terrorists for the ground zero mosque, and the Eid stamp the USPS came out with a while ago.

  • percivalcreek

It’s long past time to start treating these fifth-column scum the same way we would treat a Muslim bent on jihad.

  • Proud Infidel

That sounds like a room full of d-vegas and marthas!

  • Don_cos

Be careful. You could lose IQ points just from reading that much stupidity.
