Amnesty Bill Includes Massive Counterproductive Pork
The Gang of Eight Quislings’ amnesty abomination is not dead yet — but the economy will be, if the government keeps ramming through such bloated porkfests. Among other outrages, the 1,200-page bill that has already passed the RINO-infested Senate
allocates $1.5 billion for a “Youth Jobs Fund” to give states money to “provide … employment opportunities” for teens and young adults.
That’s $billion with B. True we don’t have the money, but the Fed can always conjure up a little more.
Why pay youth to do unproductive make-work when they could be working real jobs? Because unemployment is stratospheric due to the federal government having sucked all the money out of the economy to pay for bills like this one. What few entry-level jobs that are left are taken by the illegal aliens this bill will make legal, even while inviting in millions more to drive up unemployment higher still.
It gets worse:
[T]he Senate version of the bill also allocates $50 million plus “such sums as may be necessary” [i.e., $∞] to non-profit “immigrant-serving organizations.”
That is, at the very least $50 million will be handed over to leftist radicals to engage in ACORN-style advocacy with a racist and irredentist edge.
“This idea that immigration is all about creating more Democratic voters is ridiculous,” Clarissa Martinez, the National Council of La Raza’s director of civic engagement and immigration, told FoxNews.com.
No need to worry then. Except that La Raza (“The Race”) — which will presumably get a healthy cut of the cash — is one of the most radical left-wing organizations in the country. La Raza activists have no interest in participating in any melting pot; they consider our country to be theirs, and they want us out of it. Their goal is the “Reconquista” of the Southwest third of the USA.
La Raza has passed along some of its money to the allied and still more openly anti-American Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan (MEChA), which has among its founding principles a chilling motto that echoes Mussolini:
“For the Race everything. Outside the Race, nothing.”
These are not people anyone with our bests interests at heart would finance with our money.
