Homeland Security Secretary Issues HUGE Warning to Illegals – Liberals OUTRAGED
When it comes to illegal immigration, it’s a new era. The Trump administration has begun cracking down and arrests of illegal immigrants who have committed crimes is at a big increase. And according to Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly, that’s not about to change.
Kelly appeared on “Meet the Press” Sunday and said that he was going to be moving away from the Obama administration’s policies on illegal immigration. Previously, illegal immigrants caught committing “minor” crimes like DUIs would not be deported. Kelly said that’s all about to change.
Host Chuck Todd asked what would qualify now for deportation. “Well, someone, as an example, with multiple DUIs,” Kelly responded. “Even a single DUI, depending on other aspects, would get you into the system. [Y]ou have to remember that there’s a system, a legal justice system in place.”
Obama’s constant appeasement and apathy towards crimes committed by illegal immigrants had a horrific trickle-down effect, allowing these criminals to be similarly apathetic towards American laws. As Dr. Ronald Mortensen, a fellow at the Center for Immigration Studies, explained:
The vast majority of illegal aliens use fraudulently obtained Social Security numbers. They possess fake drivers’ licenses, phony “green cards,” fraudulent birth certificates and any other documents that U.S. citizens and legal residents have. In addition, they falsify I-9 forms under penalty of perjury. Thus, the average illegal alien routinely commits multiple felonies –forgery, Social Security fraud, identity theft, and perjury.
Carl F. Horowitz, a D.C. policy consultant, likewise added, “[I]t is a triumph of hope over experience to imagine that a career criminal will exhibit a capacity for self-reform if coaxed to try harder.”
“Moreover, and this is key, (t)he United States can ill afford to serve as the world’s crime control and rehabilitation center. It is a message we ought to be sending other nations, as we keep doors open to the law-abiding only.”
Law-abiding immigrants who want to come to the United States, fleeing violence or persecution in their countries, should have a clear path to citizenship. But immigrants who commit crimes should be given no leeway — those crimes should not be tolerated, ever.
