Trump After Meeting President Pena Nieto At G20 Summit: Mexico Will ‘Absolutely’ Pay For Wall

Trump drove and won his campaign on two things: Make America Great Again and Build The Wall. And the kicker to Build The Wall is that Mexico Is Gonna Pay For It. And now that industry is starting to hum alive again, it’s time to focus on the Wall.

Ann Coulter has been one of the loudest voices for demanding the wall to be built as soon as possible. Trump had requested an early copy of her book on immigration entitled Adios America! before launching his campaign and her influence was heavily felt. She often updates her twitter with posts like this, reminding us all that the promise of a wall was the reason Trump won:

And now it looks like there are real plans in place to build it.

As reported in The Daily Caller:

President Donald Trump said Friday that Mexico will “absolutely” pay for a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border during a meeting at the G20 summit with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto.

It was Trump and Pena Nieto’s first meeting since Trump visited Mexico during the presidential campaign. The Mexican president was supposed to visit in January, but canceled after Trump continued to insist that Mexico would pay for the border wall.

With an estimated cost of $21.6 billion, the border wall will cost less than the previous annual cost of air conditioning when the country was fully involved in Afghanistan and Iraq in 2011.

The White House already has their 2018 budget request, which includes only a fraction of that final cost, with only $1.6 billion earmarked to construct 60 miles of new walls.

The wall is expected to start construction along the southern border in the spring of 2018, but the White House has not fully clarified how Mexico will be the ones to pay for it.

I’m hoping his foreign policy is to post so many wrestling memes at the Mexican administration that they send him the money just to get him to stop.
