Barack Obama’s Unconstitutional And Illegal Election Year Amnesty
Barack Obama deserves to be impeached for trying to implement the DREAM Act without Congress. It’s unconstitutional, illegal, & dictatorial.

Let me just it simply; No matter how much liberals may wish it so, Barack Obama is not a dictator. He doesn’t have the authority to do this under the law.
The Obama administration announced Friday it will stop deporting illegal immigrants who come to the country at a young age.
The politically charged decision comes as Obama faces a tough reelection fight against Republican Mitt Romney, with Hispanic voters in swing states seen as a key bloc.
The change in policy could allow as many as 800,000 immigrants who came to the United States illegally not only to remain in the country without fear of being deported, but to work legally, according to a senior administration official speaking to reporters Friday.
…According to the Department of Homeland Security, the policy change will apply to those who came to the United States before they were 16 and who are younger than 30 if they have lived here for five years, have no criminal history, graduated from a U.S. high school or served in the military.
This is essentially the DREAM ACT. It has failed to make it through Congress multiple times. Barack Obama cannot simply say, “Congress didn’t approve of a bill I liked, so using my powers as dictator of this country, I’m going to implement it anyway.” That’s not how a Republic works. That not how America works. It’s how a dictatorship works.
Barack Obama can no more legally do this than Mitt Romney could replace the tax code with a flat tax or declare a nationwide voucher program without congressional approval.
In fact, Barack Obama deserves to be impeached for this. It won’t happen because it would be counterproductive in an election year, but does he deserve to be driven out of office in disgrace for trying to assert dictatorial powers? You’re damn right, he does.
Update #1: Technically, this is not being done by executive order, although it’s hard to see how it would be possible to do it otherwise. Of course, if you’re tossing the Constitution in the trash and setting yourself up as being able to overrule Congress at will, I guess just Barack Obama’s say-so is enough to allow hundreds of thousands (it’ll end up being millions) of illegals to stay here and work legally.
Exactly what was the point of NotMyPresident Obama heading down to the border and giving a speech about “immigration reform”?
This is an utterly fascinating story about illegal immigration not because the issues are all that different than you see
This is a pretty big endorsement, considering that the GOP primary season is heading into South Carolina, a state with
