Driving Over the Children Americans Won’t Drive Over
Written By : Dave Blount

The price of allowing lowlifes who do not belong in this country to live here anyway just went up once again:

A young mother and her two toddlers remained hospitalized on Wednesday, one day after a tow truck driver struck them as they were crossing an Oxnard [California] street, dragging the children about one-quarter mile before stopping, police said. …

The driver, Mehran Khamseh, 45, of Santa Barbara, was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, police said.

Khamseh was being held without bail in Ventura County Jail on Wednesday on suspicion of felony DUI causing injury, misdemeanor being under the influence of a controlled substance, a parole hold and an immigration hold, jail records show.

The immigration hold means that yet another maniac driver has destroyed American lives while in the country illegally.

Khamseh was convicted in 2008 of felony charges for making terrorist threats and petty theft. Yet he remained in the USA, like countless others like him.

But at least our rulers are keeping children safe from swing sets and Chuck E. Cheese.

On a tip from Henry. Cross-posted at Moonbattery.

          • Martha

I wonder what your excuse will be to hide. Isn't threnchie-troll a turnkey in Texas? Maybe U could get together with him and hide yo asses toget-ah. Lawd – what a joke U iz.

          • StanW

Martha, I'lkl give you my address, my GPS Coordinates, and invite you in for a beer. I have no reason to hide from a spineless POS like you.

          • Martha

Sounds fine to me, stan. Do U have a hotel to recommed, also? With a pool, please. Or will U also put me up. I would ask for a bolt lock on the door.

          • StanW

There is plenty of room at the local homeless shelter. I will be a step up from your basement, so don;t get used to it.

          • Martha

And this, ladiez and germs, is the excuse stan uses to hide. Told ya.

          • Trench_Raider

Of course the little punk is a coward, Stan. Web trolls almost always are physical cowards. But to be specific to this “person” recall back when he was posting under “realpolitik” he claimed he would meet bthewolf in person and then backed out? He tried to save face by claiming that it was bthewolf that did not show, despite there being time stamped photographic evidence that bthewolf was there and martha was not?

          • StanW

Not to mention his claim of having lunch in a resturant that was undwer construction and closed at the time he was there.

          • Martha

OMG. Whatever happened to that guy? He took a picture of an old lady at the front on the hotel. What wuz that about? LOL

          • Martha

            LOL

trenchie-troll, back U roll. Poor, wolfie. If U remember (of course, your memory is tres selective), wolfie hid in the kitchen when confronted by RealPolitik. It was a hoot. U better ask for that “photographic evidence” again.

The question on everyone's lipz, iz – what dodge will stan pull?

          • http://www.facebook.com/abirmandal Abir Mandal

Why do you insist on proving that you are a retard every time?

      • whats_up

Who was here illegally, not this gentlemen?

        • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/ELCWV5ANDUEJ5D5PB35FL2LZ6Y Bildo

It shows how lackadaisical our immigration policy is in this country. He was convicted of two felonies, yet prosecutors and the INS didn't push to revoke his visa, as provided for under current law.

    • earlgrey133

It has been obvious to me that lefties don't really have sympathy for others, it is simply a tool they use to gain control over others. You have taken it to a whole new level. As the mother of a toddler, I hope to never cross your path. Of course, people like you need to avoid daylight anyway.

  • D-Vega

The guy was not an illegal immigrant if he had a valid driver's license, which he did.

He was a resident alien then, and being that he has violated his parole he is now on an immigration hold.

If you want to spread fear of illegals, at least get the facts straight.

    • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/ELCWV5ANDUEJ5D5PB35FL2LZ6Y Bildo

Yes, his work visa hadn't been revoked, even though he'd been convicted of two felonies. It just proves that the current Administration, like the six preceding ones, still aren't enforcing immigration laws.

You really aren't helping your argument any.

      • D-Vega

How is the admin to blame? There was a deportation hearing in 2008, and the judge allowed him to stay.

He wasn't an illegal though, and did not cross the border illegally. I know that puts a damper on the fear- and anger-mongering. But it's true.

        • mightysamurai

How is the admin to blame?

You can't have it both ways, D-Vega. You can't blindly give Obama credit when things go right and absolve him of responsibility when things go wrong.

You guys claimed he was on top of the immigration problem when deportations increased (by a whopping 5%). Now you have to live with the consequence of that claim.

          • whats_up

Well Sam considering the immigration hearing took place in 2008 and the judge said he could stay, just what would you have the current administration (who werent in office) do?

          • mightysamurai

Call a new hearing to correct the oversight. What do you think?

Obama could have easily called for a comprehensive review of immigration hearings to stop things like this. He didn't. And yet you idiots still claim he's on top of the issue.

You want it both ways. When things go right you give Obama credit, even when he had nothing to do with it. When things go wrong you absolve him of blame, even when it's something he could very easily have stopped. You are the very definition of a sycophant.

          • D-Vega

No one said he is “on top” of anything. Sorry to reject your narrative.

It has been remarkably improved. Much more improved than when Bush was President, and Republicans controlled Congress.

I know you guys would like to blame him for every single screw-up of a federal office anyway in the country. But it doesn't work that way.

It is you who are a sycophant. A sycophant to the rightwing anti-Obama narrative.

          • mightysamurai

No one said he is “on top” of anything.

No one except you. You guys claimed he was “serious” about illegal immigration as evidenced by the tiny increase in deportations under his administration.

Either he's serious about solving the problem or he isn't.

It has been remarkably improved. Much more improved than when Bush was President, and Republicans controlled Congress.

            Completely and utterly false.

Deportations under President Bush increased 60%. Deportations under Obama have increased a piddling 5%.

And yet somehow, you want to claim Bush was horrible on immigration and Obama is doing a great job.

            Liar.

          • D-Vega

You can very well give them credit for the overall improvement.

First of all, deportations are up 10% over fiscal year 2008, 25% over 2007.

Secondly, I never claimed he was “on top” of anything. I said there has been good improvement.

Lastly, this guy was here LEGALLY in the country. Not ILLEGALLY.

That is my point. This is another post to spread fear when illegals are no more likely to break criminal laws than citizens are. (and yes, be reminded that immigrations laws are civil laws, not criminal ones).

I know it puts a damper on your scare-fest. Sorry.

          • mightysamurai

You can very well give them credit for the overall improvement.

No I can't. Not unless I want to make myself into a hypocrite.

Obama increased deportations by a piddling 5%.

President Bush increased deportations by over 60%. And Bush was LOUSY on illegal immigration.

Why should I hold Obama to a different standard than I held Bush to?

Secondly, I never claimed he was “on top” of anything.

You said he was “serious” about illegal immigration due to the miniscule increase in deportations under his administration. Yet now you want to claim he isn't responsible when an incident occurs that he could have easily prevented by calling for a review and/or a reform of our current immigration policy.

Either he's serious about illegal immigration or he's not. You can't have it both ways.

    • baoxian

      Wow, that's a total lie.

California voted to issue driver's licenses to people regardless of immigration status in 2003 that stayed in effect for about a year. Not to mention that even if he had gotten a valid license as a legal resident, he could still be illegal if he had overstayed a visa.

He was also high on drugs…almost certainly brought in over the open border that you so eagerly defend.

More Americans slaughtered thanks to open borders liberals.

      • D-Vega

The border is not open, nor did this has anything to do with the border.

Being high is not an American or Iranian thing.

        • D-Vega

BTW, he didn't have just a license:

Khamseh had a valid class C non-commercial license with a clean record, according to the California Department of Motor Vehicles. A tow truck may be driven with a class C license, Peña said.

The truck Khamseh was driving was registered to Discount Towing, Inc., according to the DMV. Messages left for representatives of Discount Towing in Oxnard were not immediately returned.

        • baoxian

No, I'm sure the Border Patrol just waves hello to the drug smugglers, and human traffickers as they go through our very secure border. Idiot.

And if this guy was out of the country like he was supposed to be, two American children would be alive today. Undeniable fact. Why don't you tell us how many rapes and murders have to happen before you consider this a problem? Because all you've done is excuse and support our immigration non-enforcement. Give us a number.

          • D-Vega

Don't get mad because this fear-mongering post was shot to shit.

No, I'm sure the Border Patrol just waves hello to the drug smugglers, and human traffickers as they go through our very secure border. Idiot.

You don't know where the drugs came from, nor was this guy smuggled in. IDIOT.

And if this guy was out of the country like he was supposed to be, two American children would be alive today. Undeniable fact.

First of all, it's a horrible crime and I would hope they throw the book at him.

Secondly, the two children are not dead.

Why don't you tell us how many rapes and murders have to happen before you consider this a problem?

It is a problem. But not as big a problem as the rightwing portrays it in order to exploit the issue and cast a poor light on all illegals.

Because all you've done is excuse and support our immigration non-enforcement. Give us a number.

            The guy wasn't an illegal.

I would like the guy to have been sent back or be prison years ago. But the fact remains this has nothing to do with the border, or illegally entering. Sorry, go find some other horrible crime to exploit.

          • baoxian

Sorry, not dead, just horribly injured. Of course that doesn't change any of the other facts.

But I'm not sorry if telling the truth about a preventable crime caused by open borders and non-enforcement makes you uncomfortable. You should feel bad. People like you are why these kids were ground into the pavement by a stoned illegal.

        • UFKA_Smithwick

          “The border is not open”

You don't live in a border state do you?

I can tell you do not have first hand knowledge of how “secure” our southern border actually is.

          • D-Vega

            It's not open though.

          • mightysamurai

So what is it, then? In a state of quantum uncertainty?

The border is unsecured. Illegal aliens are able to pass over it at will. Ergo, it is open.

          • UFKA_Smithwick

And technically the border between east and west berlin wasn't entirely closed.

After all, a few people did technically make it across. Some of them weren't even killed in the process.

If you want to split hairs then sure, the entire southern border of the US is not 100% open. But for all practical purposes yes it is.

Just as the 20+ million illegals living here with no real chance of being deported just how secure our border is.

  • UFKA_Smithwick

So I take it that arresting him was based solely on race as was checking his citizenship at the time of arrest.

Bunch of racists in California. He ought to be released, given his job back and compensated financially (by CA tax payers) for the bigotry he had to endure. 10-20 million ought to make things right.

    • blkdragon

Or we could feed him to a wood-chipper along with all the other illegals sitting in prison on violent felonies and call it a day.

  • TheDickNixon

From UsIllegalaliens.com about the impact of illegal aliens on crime in the US.

“n recent Testimony of District Attorney John M. Morganelli before the House Subcommittee on immigration, Border, Security and Claims he stated:

“Unfortunately, the majority of illegal aliens who are here are engaged in criminal activity. Identity theft, use of fraudulent social security numbers and green cards, tax evasion, driving without licenses represent some of the crimes that are engaged in by the majority of illegal aliens on a daily basis merely to maintain and hide their illegal status.

In addition, violent crime and drug distribution and possession is also prevalent among illegal aliens. Over 25% of today's federal prison population are illegal aliens. In some areas of the country, 12% of felonies, 25% of burglaries and 34% of thefts are committed by illegal aliens.”

Ignoring the “minor crime” such as ID theft and property crimes being committed by illegal aliens, here is a summary on some of the collateral damage reaped in crimes as a result of tolerating illegal aliens in the USA:

    * In Los Angeles, 95% of some 1,500 outstanding warrants for homicides are for illegal aliens. About 67% of the 17,000 outstanding fugitive felony warrants are for illegal aliens.
    * There are currently over 400,000 unaccounted for illegal alien criminals with outstanding deportation orders. At least one fourth of these are hard core criminals.
    * 80,000 to 100,000 illegal aliens who have been convicted of serious crimes are walking the streets. Based on studies they will commit an average of 13 serious crimes per perpetrator.
    * Illegal aliens are involved in criminal activities at a rate that is 2-5 times their representative proportion of the population.
    * In 1980, our Federal and state facilities held fewer than 9,000 criminal aliens but at the end of 2003, approximately 267,000 illegal aliens were incarcerated in U.S. correctional facilities at a cost of about $6.8 billion per year.
    * At least 4.5 million pounds of cocaine with a street value of at least $72 billion is smuggled across the southern border every year. ..
    * 56% of illegal aliens charged with a reentry offense had previously been convicted on at least 5 prior occasions.
    * Illegal aliens charged with unlawful reentry had the most extensive criminal histories. 90% had been previously arrested. Of those with a prior arrest, 50% had been arrested for violent or drug-related felonies.
    * Illegal aliens commit between 700,000 to 1,289,000 or more crimes per year.
    * Illegal aliens commit at least 2,158 murders each year – a number that represents three times greater participation than their proportion of the population.
    * Illegal alien sexual predators commit an estimated 130,909 sexual crimes each year.
    * There may be as many as 240,000 illegal alien sex offenders circulating throughout America. Based on studies, they will commit an average of 8 sex crimes per perpetrator before being caught.
    * Nearly 63% of illegal alien sex offenders had been deported on another offense prior to committing the sex crime.
    * Only 2% of the illegal alien sex offenders in one study had no history of criminal behavior, beyond crossing the border illegally.
    * In Operation Predator, ICE arrested and deported 6,085 illegal alien pedophiles. Some studies suggest each pedophile molests average of 148 children. If so, that could be as many as 900,580 victims.
    * Nobody knows how big the Sex Slave problem is but it is enormous.
    * The very brutal MS-13 gang has over 15,000 members and associates in at least 115 different cliques in 33 states.
    * The overall financial impact of illegal alien crimes is estimated at between $14.4 and $81 billion or more per year. Factor in the crime as a result of the cocaine and other drugs being smuggled in and the number may reach $150 billion per year.”

Just a few facts for the discussion.
