Grijalva’s Constituents Are Getting Restless

Arizona’s Congressional District 7 is run as a fiefdom by Raul (formerly Ralph) Grijalva, a militant moonbat who has actually called on the rest of the country to boycott his own state for attempting to enforce federal immigration law with SB1070. Grijalva presides over an extensive political machine, which with the help of Tucson’s wacky voter base usually ensures his reelection by wide margins. But the peasants are getting restless:

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) – Boycott Arizona? We’ll boycott you! That’s the message some tea-party members had for our local congressman Congressman Raul Grijalva.

Grijalva’s been pushing for an economic boycott of his own state since the governor signed the immigration law. Grijalva is up for re-election this November and people who we met today are determined to unseat him. A big crowd gathered in front of Grijalva’s office Saturday morning.

These folks are also upset about Grijalva’s backing of the Arizona boycott.

A more clear-cut case of the hostility of our “respresentatives” toward their own constituents would be difficult to imagine. Grijalva’s Republican challenger Ruth McClung is a charming and highly intelligent lady, as I’ve had the pleasure of learning firsthand. But she has her work cut out for her, taking on Grijalva’s massive machine (which has been stealing her yard signs, BTW) and the latte-sipping, Volvo-driving moonbat voters who seem to dominate Tucson. Here she is at the rally:

Now why would anyone call Grijalva a racist? Maybe because of this:

During an interview on MSNBC’s Keith Olberman, Grijalva said, “We’re asking organizations, civic, religious, labor, Latino, organizations of color to refrain from using Arizona as a convention site, to refrain from spending their dollars in the state of Arizona until Arizona turns the clock forward instead of backwards and joins the rest of the union.”

Note how Grijalva, like other malignant leftists, turns the issues of border security, law enforcement, and American sovereignty into yet another opportunity to fan the flames of race hate and tear our country apart with his call to “organizations of color.”

They used to say all politics is local, but with America’s future fundamentally threatened by the miscreants currently running the federal government, it’s all national now. If you’d like to see one fewer treasonous quisling in Washington, do whatever you can for Ruth.
