Two Orphans Find a Home for the Holidays with a Connecticut Police Officer

Awwwww…if this doesn’t melt your heart, you surely are a Christmas Grinch. A big-hearted police officer has had two fur babies come into his life- but not quite the species you might expect:[1]

fawns[2]

A Connecticut State Police trooper’s family has grown by two – not two humans but two deer.

On Monday, Trooper Ben Pagoni responded to a call for a mother deer that had been killed, according to the department’s Facebook page.

However, the trooper discovered two baby deer who had suddenly become orphans. Pagoni could not find a temporary home for them.

So, Pagoini received permission to take the deer home with him. Pagoni and his family are caring for the deer until they can find them a new home.

Isn’t that the sweetest thing?
