“We Are Going To Be Held Accountable,” Says Glenn Beck Amid Revelations Of ISIS Barbarity

It’s hard to take in the stories from Iraq and Syria of ISIS’ brutality and depravity without feeling a sense that human society is spinning out of control. The rape and murder of innocents under control of the jihadist caliphate looks more like something from the Dark Ages than modern times, and to Western sensibilities what’s going on there seems unfathomable.

And The Blaze founder Glenn Beck is deeply moved by the stories, and wonders whether the Almighty might punish the entire human race for their crimes

“Evil learns from past evils. It gets stronger and more wicked with each passing day. ISIS is that evil,” Beck said. “They’re not only a violent killing machine, but a sex-slave trade as well.”

Beck shared details from the New York Times’ recent report highlighting how the Islamic State has “enshrined a theology of rape,” including how at least one fighter prayed before and after repeatedly raping a 12-year-old girl.

“The pain and trauma is so great many girls can no longer speak,” Beck said. “Some girls have dug down deep to muster the strength and courage just to utter a few words: ‘What you’re doing to me is wrong, and it will not bring you closer to God.’ These words were met with more unspeakable depravity.”

“It’s one thing if I tell you a story and it’s an isolated incident. But this is systematic, exactly the way it was in Nazi Germany — systematic, brutal torture,” Beck continued. “An entire network of warehouses devoted to this evil. We know where they are. We’re just choosing not to do anything about it.”

Beck said there are “no excuses for us” because they have begged for our help.

“We’re seeing the work of evil play out right now before our eyes, and evil is flourishing,” he continued. “And we’re pointing to Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump as saviors?”

Beck said he has a new book out called “It IS About Islam,” and people need to stop calling the violence perpetrated in the name of the religion “workplace violence” or “misguided youth.”

“No, I’m sorry, it’s this,” Beck said, holding the Koran. “It is about Islam. Period. They may be perverting it, but it’s all in here. Let’s at least be honest with ourselves. This is where it starts, and making up B.S. excuses only enables the problem to continue.”

Beck’s book will undoubtedly be controversial, but at some point people must recognize that what ISIS is doing is not a departure from Islam. In fact, the thugs and goons of the caliphate are merely re-enacting much of what Muhammad and his followers unleashed on the Near East when Islam was first spread.

We don’t want to believe it, but the history is there. And it’s repeating itself before our eyes.
