When You See What Bank of America Just Did to Thousands of Veterans, You’ll Feel SICK

This is outrageous. I knew Bank of America was bad. They charge for deposits, withdrawals and whatever else they can get away with now. But I had no idea they did this to our warriors. I am so glad I don’t bank with these jerks any longer – I’m through with them. They foreclosed on the homes of 155 service members while serving overseas. That’s a violation of the Service members Civil Relief Act. For that egregious move, those families were awarded $36.8 million by the courts and it was overseen by the Justice Department. It sounds like a lot; it’s really not when you lose your home like that and it is split 155 ways. You would think B of A would have learned their lesson, but nope, they doubled and tripled down on targeting our troops.

From Qpolitical:

When I heard how Bank of America blatantly abused military members on two monumental occasions, I withdrew all my money and closed my account immediately.

I refuse to condone Bank of America’s deceptive business model- one that exploits military members in the most despicable way- by having them responsible for the money I work hard for.

He witnessed his brothers being killed, he didn’t celebrate the holidays with family, he didn’t have a home-cooked meal, he endured excruciating heat in heavy armor, he faced the fact that death was just inches away everyday.

The last thing a soldier deserves when returning home from fighting overseas? Finding out their home was illegally foreclosed upon while serving our country.

Unfortunately, that’s what 155 service members experienced when Bank of America illegally foreclosed their homes. I can’t say I’m surprised Bank of America would disrespect our troops this way though- their CEO, Brian Moynihan, and lifesaving investor, Warren Buffet, are like totally BFFs with Obama after all.

“Our men and women in the military should not have to worry about a bank foreclosing on their home while they bravely serve our country,” said Eric Halperin, Special Counsel for Fair Lending in the Civil Rights Division.

Bank of America was ordered by the Justice Department to pay over $36.8 million to 155 service members whose homes were illegally foreclosed upon. Even though their CEO Brian Moynihan’s salary is almost a fourth of that amount.

BoA4

I guess that monetary compensation is supposed to be sufficient for the trauma Bank of America caused our military members and their families. It made me SICK to realize the blatant disrespect this company has for the men and women who sacrifice so much for our freedom.

BoA5

That’s not very “American” of you, Bank of America. Then again… your corrupt definition of America is most likely from the same dictionary as Obama, your $45 billion bailout brother.

BoA6

Bank of America illegally foreclosed the homes by violating the Service members Civil Relief Act, which was created “to postpone or suspend certain civil obligations to enable service members to devote full attention to duty and relieve stress on the family members of those deployed service members.”

Clearly that $36.8 million settlement didn’t teach Bank of America to respect our troops. They had the audacity to violate the rights of more than 73,000 military service members, and got another slap on the wrist with a $30 million fine. Are you sick to your stomach yet?

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency recently ordered Bank of America to pay the $30 million fine after discovering they violated the interest limits banks can charge deployed service members and used improper legal procedures when collecting debts from military customers. They yet AGAIN violated the Service members Civil Relief Act, but this time they harmed over 73,000.

Bank of America tries to cover up their corruption against the military with the employment opportunities they now offer them. Little do these veterans know- they’re working against their own.

BoA7

So how is Bank of America celebrating Veterans Day this year as one of the most corrupt companies in existence? For every time someone uses the hashtag #TroopThanks to express their appreciation for our troops, they’ll donate $1 to military nonprofits.

BoA8

Instead of this trendy social media campaign that’s just a PR move for them, how about they just stop abusing our military and learn how a TRUE American treats our troops? The money they’ll donate is pocket change to CEO Brian Moynihan.

BoA9

Don’t give into the schemes of Bank of America anymore. Americans deserve better… and those who risked their lives for our freedom especially deserve better.

We can never thank our veterans enough. God bless you.

Next up, they violated the rights of more than 73,000 military service members upping the interest limits banks can charge deployed service members and by using improper legal procedures when collecting debts from military customers. In other words, they used loan shark maneuvers on these military people, charging outrageous interest rates and then siccing debt collectors on their families. That’s just disgusting. For that they were fined $30 million. Wanna bet they’ll do it again? There is no doubt about it. I recommend that everyone get another bank or credit union. With the likes of Warren Buffet and Brian Moynihan behind B of A, you can bet they don’t like the military. They’re Marxists and uber buds of Barack Obama. Be patriotic and just say no to Bank of America.
