Leftists Cause May Day Damage In Santa Cruz And Asheville
Written By : William Teach

I’m sure this is somehow the fault of the extreme anti-government Bible thumping gun toting TEA Partiers

SANTA CRUZ – A large group of protesters demonstrating at a May Day rally for worker’s and immigrant rights downtown broke off into a riot vandalizing about a dozen businesses around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, police said.

Many in the group were carrying makeshift torches as they marched, breaking storefront windows and writing “anarchist graffiti” on buildings, according to Capt. Steve Clark. Many businesses sustained multiple broken windows including very large storefront windows at Urban Outfitters and The Rittenhouse building. Police believe at least 15 businesses suffered damage.

The violence was initiated from a group holding a rally at the town clock for May Day. Windows at Jamba Juice and Velvet Underground were left shattered and graffiti including anarchy signs were tagged onto buildings.

Because of the size and violent demeanor of the crowd, Santa Cruz police asked for help from all agencies in the county to break up the riot. At one point, protesters lit a fire on the porch of Caffe Pergolesi and blocked access to firefighters, officers said. Police were able to clear out the demonstrators before more damage was caused.

Shockingly, the NY Times, Alan Colmes, and all the others freaking out about the TEA Parties who clean up their own garbage are silent. Frank Rich, Paul Krugman, the folks are the Washington Post, and President Obama have nothing to say. I wonder why?

ASHEVILLE — Video footage captured by Asheville Citizen-Times surveillance cameras shows some among a large group suspected in a Saturday night vandalism spree throwing bricks at windows and dragging newspaper boxes into the street.

Almost all of the 11 people arrested after the vandalism spree in downtown Asheville listed addresses outside Western North Carolina.

The motive behind the vandalism, which caused damage to several O’Henry Avenue storefronts and nearby parked vehicles, remained unclear Sunday.

Really?

The anonymous author of a sign posted Sunday on the glass sculpture outside the Grove Arcade at the corner of Page and Battery Park avenues argued that the incident Saturday was connected to May Day, a May 1 holiday honoring and advocating for workers’ rights.

About 10:45 p.m. Saturday, a group of people dressed in dark clothing, some wearing masks and carrying backpacks, threw rocks and bricks through windows of several businesses.

So, when it is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus (a group which is be its very exclusion of anyone other than Black people is racist. Imagine if the GOP had the same thing) making accusations of hurled epithets, no proof, no credible witnesses, no video, no audio, it is all over the media. When it is obvious Democrat voters (the Right side doesn’t go around dressed like, oh, say, anarchists), the national media is silent, and even the locals write the stories in a neutral mode, unwilling to make any accusations against people who are obviously on the Left.

The right is made up of elements of ignorance as exemplified at tea bag rallies, and the left has its own anarchists who, though a minority, destroy stuff and look as stupid as some of the tea baggers. The difference is in proportion. Most tea baggers showed their ignorance and racism. A few participants in an immigration march create a lot of damage. Big difference there.

Again you think the black caucus is racist? Please. An organization based on race is not racist. A n organization based on exerting one race as superior is what racism is. Racism is about power, not color. Look at the definitions.

Conservatives that feel racism is being used against them don't hold much water when they carry signs at tea bag rallies that are racist.

    • tblrk2006

Peter, how about an example of the Tea Party racism that, you say, is so rampant.

      • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/C2UYYYSPBB7S3NC3NQ7NOJFLME Peter

Tkirk, you want me to point out where the nose is on your face too?

Fact is tea bag organizers asked participants to tone down the rhetoric after the first rallies because it was racist and vitriolic.

And then there were the tea partiers that spit on black congressmen.

        • tblrk2006

Wow…..if its a fact than you can provide proof.

        • mightysamurai

Then prove it. In fact I'm told there's a monetary award out there for anyone who can prove that black Congressmen were spat on or called the n-word at any Tea Party protest.

If the racism of the Tea Parties is so “obvious” then surely you have a vast multitude of examples…right? Maybe some photos? Or a video? Something? Anything?

    • Trench_Raider

Oh noes!!! The eeeeevvviiiiillll racists are coming to get you!

Jack Shite/Zimmy (you don't mind if I call you that, do you?) you are a typical self hating White leftists who sees examples of “racists” hiding behind every rock. Actually it's unlikely (unless you are a complete nut) that you actualy believe half the acusations of “racism” that you throw out. You just abuse the emotional over-reaction that many people have to such accusations to score political points.
You are a clown, a fool, (not to mention a troll) and have no idea what you are talking about.
Speaking of things you have no clue about….

Again you think the black caucus is racist? Please. An organization based on race is not racist. A n organization based on exerting one race as superior is what racism is. Racism is about power, not color. Look at the definitions.

By that lame definition, The National Alliance (google them) is not a racist organization either. or, like many leftist clowns, do you subscribe to the idiotic assertion that only Whites can be “racist”?

Finally, why don't you man up and admit that you are jack_shite/zimmy? Come on, son. You are protected by the anonymity of the 'net here. What's the worse thing that could happen? I could give two sh–s about your being banned under the old system (that's meaningless now anyway as when Hawkins linked the site to an externally controlled comments system he in effect put into place a defacto amnesty for banees). What I hate are cowards who troll under sock puppets like you are doing.

You're wasting your time. Petey doesn't care what “racism” actually means. I provided him with no less than six definitions of racism, all of which he studiously ignored in his frantic attempt to deny the racism of his leftist compatriots.

        • Trench_Raider

          Oh I know, Sam.
I've been dealing with these trolls long enough to realise that they are un-teachable. mainly because they don't want to learn. They are not here to discuss anyway.
When you correct the idiocy of the trolls like I did, it's not the troll that's the intended audience. It's the third party who might see the exchange. It's important that those folks not make the mistake of taking the troll's foolishness seriously and leaving their posts uncorrected could cause some to do just that.

You're missing the point. The Left knows that those claims of racism are blatantly false. They also know that if they repeat them enough, people will believe it, regardless of fact.

They have made racism the most important issue on the Left. By screaming it all the time, and every time, they keep it in the forefront. Real issues get buried, and they get to demonize their opponents while drowning out their arguments.

        • Trench_Raider

Oh, I'm not missing the point. I'm very aware that these clowns don't actually believe half of the accusations they throw out. I have a special term for the tactic of using false accusations of “racism” to harm political opponents: the Scarlet “R” gambit.

I think my response from now is “liar.” Every time a douchebag liberal cries racism, simply reply “liar,” and put the onus on them to prove it.

      rac·ism (rszm) KEY

      NOUN:

      2) Discrimination or prejudice based on race.

      http://education.yahoo.com/reference/dictionary

So how many non-blacks are members of the CBC?? Oh that's right there are none because the Congressional Black Caucus DISCRIMINATES against non-blacks!!!

Go back to school child, you're failure to pass the 3rd grade is proving to be a serious detriment to your ability to THINK.

What a surprise – a demonstration attended by leftists managed to break out into a riot. I'm shocked. Simply shocked.

  • Trench_Raider

Might I point out the obvious: you never see riots or vandalism at conservative protests. That's because the demographic that is attracted to such potests is much older and more mature than those who attend left wing temper tantrums like the mayday fiasco.
Then there is that whole conservatives respect the rules of law much more than leftists do thing of course!

    TR

    • http://www.thepiratescove.us/ William_Teach

Excellent point, TR. And those older, wiser, and more mature folks teach the younger ones at the rallies that violence is not the answer, that they can't just run rampant, and that they should clean up their litter. I always find it interesting that left, which is supposedly pro-environment, always leaves a massive mess, which sometimes includes broken windows and other property damage, while the Right, supposedly environment haters, tends to leave the place better than when they got there. With no property damage. No fights, no violence.

Just consider how many lefties show up with face and head coverings. It's almost like they do not want anyone to be able to identify they, for some reason. The same way criminals do it. You never see a Conservative do the same.

      • Trench_Raider

        Thanks William.
Let's face it, today politically motivated violence is almost a 100% left wing thing in this country.

Just consider how many lefties show up with face and head coverings. It's almost like they do not want anyone to be able to identify they, for some reason. The same way criminals do it. You never see a Conservative do the same.

Showing up at a political protest with a face covering is pretty much prima facia evidence that you are up to (or plan to be up to) no good. There is a very good reason that in some areas masks are banned by law at political protests. of course anyone who showed up at a Tea Party rally looking like a cartoon bank robber would be shown the door pretty quickly.

        TR

  • mightysamurai

    “Mostly peaceful”.

  • UFKA_Smithwick

Could you imagine a rightwing protest breaking out in to violence instigated by pseudo-uniformed masked men? It would never happen of course, but hypothetically.

Shades of nazi germany anyone? Dangerous hatefilled bigots that need to be stamped out before they start murdering people? Traitors?

    Yep. That media bias.

  • Fail baby Fail

Santa Cruz is full of the extreme fringe left. Plus alot of dumb college kids that go to UCSC. There is alot of bottled hate there. Its one of the most expensive places in the us to live. I lived there Half my life, got sick of paying almost 3k a month for a house. I pay 995 for a house twice the size in Colorado now.
