Liberal Violence & Incivility Watch: A Single Day’s Headlines
Written By : John Hawkins

Liberals claim to be perpetually outraged by what they say is dangerous rhetoric from conservatives. However, it’s hard to take them seriously when they have nothing to say about stories like this all breaking in a single day,

The head of one of the nation’s most powerful labor unions did not condemn the violent rhetoric in placards and signs held by union supporters demonstrating in Wisconsin despite two direct attempts Sunday to get him on the record declaring them inappropriate.

Nation of Islam leader Minister Louis Farrakhan predicted on Sunday that America faces imminent uprisings that mirror those in the Middle East.

“What you are looking at in Tunisia, in Egypt … Libya, in Bahrain … what you see happening there … you’d better prepare because it will be coming to your door,” Farrakhan said in a booming voice, thousands of followers cheering in his wake.

The online activist group “anonymous,” which has used coordinated denial of service attacks — a crude but effective Internet weapon — to temporary disable sites belonging to foes ranging from Scientology to WikiLeaks foes — has turned its firepower on the Koch-backed conservative group Americans for Prosperity, making the group’s site intermittently unavailable tonight.

Fox News Mike Tobin hit by union thugs at Wisconsin capitol Madison – later union goons even threaten to break Tobin’s Neck

All of these stories would be front page news in every paper in America if Tea Partiers or prominent Republicans were involved. Heck, let John Boehner use “job killing” in a sentence or Sarah Palin say, “targeting,” and every liberal in America gets the vapors. But, all the headlines you’re reading above get a pass from those same people?

What does that tell you?

It tells you that all these people talking about civility are really just trying to shut you up. If they really believed what they were saying, they’d be speaking out today. It also tells you that the average member of the political Left has no problem with violent rhetoric, trying to silence their political opponents, or even outright violence against conservatives if they think they can get away with it.

The next time you hear liberals complaining about “violent rhetoric” or how scary those Tea Partiers are supposed to be, just remember the way the Left has behaved over the few weeks, roll your eyes, and tell ‘em to shove it crossways.

Yea, both sides are pretty bad. When you have the governor saying he thought about planting trouble makers into the crowd, you got a serious situation.

    • StanW

Pathetic, you compare actual violence from the Left to a prank phone call?

You are reaching for ANYTHING that will help you blame this on the Right, GUM.

      • Anonymous

I’m not blaming anything on the right. Where in my statement did I blame anything on the right? I said both sides are pretty bad. How would Governor Walker’s moronic comment has nothing to do with the union violence/rhetoric and I never insinuated that either.

        • StanW

You equated the ACTUAL violence from the Left to an offhand comment of a prank call, GUM.

Sorry that you are not man enough to admit your own actions.

          • Soldout

So the offhand comment has no truth behind it?

Interesting, because it was stated in a matter of fact way, which makes it a totally sincere statement.

          • StanW

Until you are able to prefect your mind-reading abilities, you have no idea how ‘sincere’ he was. I will give him the same benefit of the doubt that you and your ilk gave the Planed Parenthood workers.

      • Soldout

        Stan, you’re confused.

The phone call was a prank, the governors answers were sincere. He sincerely considered planting trouble makers. This truth must be too liberal for you to be able to grasp.

        • StanW

I seem to recall pranks like this being played on Planned Parenthood, when the Left went out of their way to explain away the answers. Here, you are ascribing malice to the Governor. You do not know if he was sincere or not, so stop lying.

          • Soldout

If his lips are moving, he’s lying. TMOT.

          • StanW

Do not project your own adversity to the truth with Walker’s, SO.

          • http://www.patriotpost.com bthewolf

            Projecting are we?

The problem with the way you argue is you argue around your preconceptions rather than the actual circumstances. For example, whne I was comparing Lincoln and Obama’s modes of Constitutional interpretation, you insulted me for defending that mode of Constitutional interpretation. In reality, I never defended it or even advocated it, I only stated that that is what the two of them were doing. You do this quite often where I’ll make a statement and you will infer facts that just aren’t there.

        • StanW

The proble YOU have GUM, is that you start every statement you make by assuming you are completely and unimpeachable correct, and you cannot handle anyone disagreeing with you.

Yes, we all know you went to law school and we all know you know everything about everything becasue you read it in a book.

And NONE of us are impress by you, so get over yourself. If you conduct yourself in a courtroom the way you conduct yourself here, you’ll be delivering pizzas this time next year!

          • Anonymous

More ad hominems, these are getting old.

          • StanW

And how is what I wrote different from the fetid tripe you posted about me? Oh, that’s right. You just perfect proved everythign I wrote.

Thanks, GUM. You may go now!

          • http://www.patriotpost.com bthewolf

More hypocrisy from a leftist, it’s getting really old.

There needs to be a phrase for this kind of deflection.

When conservatives do something wrong: conservatives are evil.
When liberals do something wrong: both sides are bad.

      • StanW

There is a name for it, Smith:

        It’s called LIBERALISM!

  • Anonymous

Of course you get hypcorisy from the left Hawkins. Really, you do realize all that talk about “hate speech” and “violent rhetoric” only applies to people on the right. OUr enlightened friends on the left are excused from condemnation for calling for violence, beating people, and in the case of Arizona, getting people shot and killed.

It would be a shame if these violent leftists encounter a group of conservatives exercising their God given 2nd Amendment rights who decided to defend themselves accordingly. Especially that domestic terror group the Nation of Islam. Malcolm X’s blood is still on their hands.

    • Soldout

Ah, nothing like veiled threats from the right in protest of hyperbolic but non-violent rhetoric from the left.

TheDick, John the host, you protest way to much over this as a cover for guilt over your own sides rhetoric. This is proven by the fact that you NEVER acknowledge your sides’s own extreme rhetoric.

      • StanW

And yet you are too much of a coward to admit the ACTUAL violence from your side. Whatever false ‘rhetoric’ you can claim from the Right, the Left has moved passed that to actually performing those violent act.

Perhaps you shoudl spend some time worrying about THAT, SO!

      • http://www.patriotpost.com bthewolf

“Ah, nothing like veiled threats from the right in protest of hyperbolic but non-violent rhetoric from the left.”

Non-violent? ‘blood in the streets is non-violent? Are you really that stupid, or just refusing to “acknowledge your sides’s own extreme rhetoric?”

        Hypocrite thy name is soldout.

        • Soldout

Blood on the streets? That wasn’t the quote!

“Every once and awhile you need to get out on the streets and get a little bloody when necessary,” he continued.”

This implies that when the union busting thugs come around (or TP idiots), be prepared for a fight. Considering the TP wipes like carrying guns around, this is sage advice.

          • StanW

So that’s the way you see it?

The Right is guilty of ‘violent rhetoric’ and ‘carrying gun’, to that means the Left is justified to beat up people on the Right?

I would love to attend a protest with you, SO.

          • http://www.patriotpost.com bthewolf

Same f’n difference, and until someone from a Tea Party rally actually shoots someone; it’s violent rhetoric. Union thugs have committed actual violence, so far one TPer has been found to acted violently. Yeah there is so much to be afraid of! Talk about hyperbole!

And all you are doing now is making excuses.

      • Anonymous

It’s a threat to state that you will defend yourself from violence your side is perpetrating?

Union thug: we’re going to rough you up for a while because you said mean things about our union. Louie get the hammer, this jerk needs his legs smashed.
Average citizen: I wouldn’t try that, I have a gun and I will shoot you if you attack me.
Union thug: Good lord he’s threatening me! Help police, this man is threatening violence!

      • Anonymous

Nixon made no threats. However, when a union thug assaults a peaceful conservative and gets put down by someone exercising their right of self defense, Nixon will laugh over the dead body. Laugh out loud.

Nixon has no guilt, and has seen no condemnation from you, under your various user names, toward liberal hate speech.

Call Nixon when you condemn your side of the fence.

    • http://www.wordaroundthenet.com Christopher Taylor

Nothing new about it. The right has long been attacked and reviled for many of the same reasons: we refuse to go along with the ruling class, we stand out, and we think differently.

  • Anonymous

I love how the Arizona shooter who had no relation in anyway to the right or Palin specifically was immediately labeled a rightwinger following Palins orders.

Whereas the Unions who are basically a subset of the democrat party, are following exactly the edicts of their leaders and democrat politicians to ‘get in their face’ and ‘get a little bloody’ and yet no one in the media is willing to make this obvious connection.
