Oops! BoA Suspends All Committments To ACORN
Written By : William Teach

Poor ACORN, they just can’t catch a break

Already facing the loss of federal government funding, the community-organizing group Acorn also has run afoul of one of its big corporate partners, Bank of America Corp.

In response to questions from The Wall Street Journal, a spokesman for the banking company said it has “suspended current commitments” to Acorn Housing, an affiliated group, and “will not enter into any further agreements with Acorn or any of its affiliates,” pending assessments by the bank of the organization’s operations.

Acorn Housing for years has worked with Bank of America and some other big banks on foreclosure-prevention efforts.

“Bank of America takes recent allegations made against Acorn and Acorn Housing Corporation employees very seriously,” the bank said in a statement.

Man, it’s a real shame when folks be throwing away a perfectly good criminal organization like that.

It's really sorta funny how ACORN had Alinsky rule #12 used so effectively against them – RULE 12: "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it." The funny thing is that in spite of their familiarity with the strategy being used against them, they couldn't muster an effective responce. What we've all seen from them as they fight back is ineffectual and frankly amateurish.

Well of course. They've had the MSM covering for them for over a year. I don't think they were counting on being found out by a pair of independent journalists.

Nixon has never used BOA. With them now ending a relationship with ACORN that I never knew about, looks like Nixon was right in not dealing with them. Why would any reputable bank have anything to do with those con artists at ACORN is beyond me. Must have been some nice fees involved.

This is a direct result of the liberals overplaying the race card. Thinly-veiled corporate blackmail is the bread and butter of liberal organizing and lobbying groups. The corporation pays its protection money to groups like ACORN, the Rainbow Coalition, etc, and avoids frivilous lawsuits, protests, and media attacks. Most companies consider it a cost of doing business these days.

For a faceless evil financial company like BoA to bail on this arrangement means they no longer feel the liberals have any credibility to smear them. Any protest by ACORN will be lost in the din of phony cries of racism anyways.

The damage this is doing to Obama and the Democrats can not be underestimated. Their entire organizing strategy is based on ACORN and similar groups, and these groups were to be elevated and permanently enshrined as psuedo-government organizations that would carry out elements of the liberal agenda like a politicized census, ground troops for government run health care, and they would have been the core of Obama's paramilitary civilian security force. Instead the cornerstone group (ACORN) is being dismantled and the entire community organizing scheme is being discredited and starved of funding.

How much longer before ACORN dissolves, but a "new" group with a different name — but all the same faces — appears to take its place?

My guess would be Feb 2010, just in time to start voter fraud plans for Novemeber.

The "SEIU" business cards have already been printed.

One that is being shaken down and knows it can't turn to the law for protection.

When the ACORN drones gather in herds to protest the "unfair" and "racist" lending practices at your bank — that is, not lending money to people you know can't repay you — then you either have to fight an impossible PR war or capitulate.

Sounds like you've independently come to the conclusion that BoA isn't a reputable bank, and good for you for reaching that conclusion. BoA really dug itself into a hole in SoCal because it got into bed with a number of advocacy groups working the illegal immigrant angle. As a result, at the time before the collapse of the housing bubble in SoCal, when the median home price in San Diego county was upwards of $500k, illegals were getting 'no-doc' liar loans for 100% of the purchase price of a home. At the same time, good hardworking people were being denied because they were applying for 'conforming loans' under which they'd have to meet much higher eligibility requirements. When that practice got out, BoA suffered a significant loss of banking business in SoCal. Lot's of people figured out that BoA wasn't a reputable bank, despite what their ads say.

You know what bothers me is that apparently voter fraud doesn't bother these people but tax fraud does.

Repeatedly busted for faking voter registrations and breaking voting laws, thus damaging the entire principle of democracy? Eh, keep the money flowing.

Help a pimp avoid taxes? RUN AWAY!!!!

Martin, you "hit the nail on th head"!

IMO, BofA is just as much a criminal enterprise as is ACORN,…ie, they were in bed together and BofA knew the "chips were falling" and they could be the next to be investigated.

Couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch of theiving scumbags, IMO!

BTW, Darrell Issa is hot on the trail of BofA.
