Shorter Bill Maher: You Should Hate The Rich For Being Rich
It’s no secret that liberals try to convince Americans to hate the rich the way the KKK tries to convince Americans to hate blacks and Jews, but the Left is getting less subtle about it.
For example, here’s Bill Maher:
New Rule: The next rich person who publicly complains about being vilified by the Obama administration must be publicly vilified by the Obama administration. It’s so hard for one person to tell another person what constitutes being “rich”, or what tax rate is “too much.” But I’ve done some math that indicates that, considering the hole this country is in, if you are earning more than a million dollars a year and are complaining about a 3.6% tax increase, then you are by definition a greedy @sshole.
There are people who are complaining about being demonized and vilified by the White House for being successful? What a bunch of creeps, huh?
Well, here’s a thought: Maybe these people want to keep the money THEY EARNED rather than giving it over to the same greedy parasites in DC who are trying to convince Americans that they’re the bad guys for being successful.
Alternately, perhaps these people feel like they already pay too much in taxes, get almost nothing back for it, and don’t feel responsible for “the hole” this country is in because they’ve been screaming “Stop spending so much” for years now.
Then there’s always the possibility that these people feel that they’ve already done their part by bearing an enormous tax burden and creating tons of jobs, while on the other hand, nearly half the country is paying no income taxes at all. How can it be that these people are “greedy @ssholes” for being opposed to a 3.6% tax increase when half the country isn’t even paying the 3.6%?
There are rich @ssholes, just like there are poor @ssholes, but you know who else are actually @ssholes? Liberals like Bill Maher who try to slime people just for successfully pursuing the American dream.
