If you listen to liberals like Paul Krugman, you’d think the biggest problem with the economy is that the government isn’t spending enough money. In the imaginary world they inhabit, we’ve adopted a policy of “austerity” and the relentless barrage of spending cuts is hurting the economy.

Liberals are pushing the idea that we need more spending for reasons that actually have nothing to do with spending, but for anyone who’s not a fanatic, this should blow a hole the size of the Grand Canyon in the idea that our problem is that we’re not spending enough money.
