BOOM! Gingrich Has PERFECT Remedy To SHUT DOWN MSM Attacks On Trump!

“I am personally offended by the American news media,” said Newt Gingrich in one of his best rant sessions yet.

Just recently, the former House Speaker defended Donald Trump against the very poor treatment by the majority of the media, even going so far as to suggest that Trump should “close down the White House press briefing room” as a punishment.

In a phone call interview with Politico[2], Gingrich has a few more choice things to say about the media. Gingrich, a former presidential candidate for the GOP and an author of a recent book about Trump, has an insider’s perspective and sympathy for the President who spent his life in the rough and tumble business world and is only now adjusting to the backstabbing nature of politics.

The interview continued with Gingrich saying the media “is destructive and disgusting. It is a danger to the country right now” and that the press should be banished to the nearest Starbucks, presumably to write think-pieces on their latest Unicorn Frappuccino.

Instead of answering to the journalists, a Press Secretary should take questions directly from the American people to empower the average citizen instead of journalists looking to get outrage clicks on their website.

Newt emphasized that if you close the press briefing room, it would tell the country that “the media is a corrupt institution and [Trump and Spicer are] tired of being harassed by people whose only interest is making [Trump] look bad.”

Since Trump had envisioned a press briefing room that would allow remote access to remote journalists via Skype, this isn’t too far-fetched as his next step.

According to the Politico interview:

Another adviser who frequently talks to Trump said the president is often “personally stung” by the coverage and ruminates on it more than other issues. Inside the White House over the past week, Trump has fumed to press secretary Sean Spicer and top advisers and aides about his coverage and has polled outside advisers about making widespread changes to his operation.

The world of private business sounds a lot nicer than public politics. At least if you’re working out a deal with another business person, you both want to benefit. Often, with journalists, they want to be the only one to get out ahead while destroying the politician and ignoring what the citizens are actually interested in.
