Four Pinocchios: WaPo Slams ‘Hands Up Don’t Shoot’ as One of the Biggest Lies of 2015

Well, at least the uber biased and left-leaning Washington Post[1] got something right. Their annual list of the biggest Pinocchios for 2015 has just come out and ‘Hands Up Don’t Shoot’ made the list. It certainly should have. Facts were irrelevant to the radicals out there. The phrase became a rallying cry and a mantra of the left following the fatal shooting of 18 year-old Michael Brown by officer Darren Wilson. He was shot while attacking the officer. But, a friend of his lied to the press and claimed that Wilson executed him while he had his hands up and said ‘don’t shoot!’ It was all a fabrication, but once out there it was picked up and ran with by every activist on the planet. Especially those such as Black Lives Matter. Democratic lawmakers raised their hands in solidarity on the House floor. But various investigations concluded it didn’t happen and that Wilson acted out of self-defense and was justified in killing Brown. It cost him his job and his livelihood when all he did was what he was trained to do.

Hands Up[2]

From Breitbart:

The phrase “Hands Up Don’t Shoot” makes the Washington Post’s annual list of biggest Pinocchios of 2015.

The words became popular among protesters calling for police accountability in the aftermath of the August 2014 shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri.

According[3] to the Washington Post:

Witness accounts spread after the shooting that Brown had his hands raised in surrender, mouthing the words “Don’t shoot” as his last words before being shot execution-style. Democratic lawmakers raised their hands in solidarity on the House floor. But various investigations concluded this did not happen—and that Wilson acted out of self-defense and was justified in killing Brown.

The riots and violence that followed in Ferguson, Missouri were a travesty. They were hate-filled, racist events. Race baiters such as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson grandstanded and stirred cop hatred at every turn. The New Black Panthers and the Nation of Islam patrolled the streets and ginned up even more division and hate. In 2014, members of the St. Louis Rams ran on to the field with their hands raised in support of the “hands up don’t shoot” phrase. The Hand’s Up Don’t Shoot mantra will go down in history as one of the biggest lies ever told. The gesture continues to be used today despite the facts of the case. The lie was an excuse to riot, commit crimes and voice hatred for police, whites and America in general. For all of that, it deserves to be on WaPo’s list. There’s not enough Pinocchio’s to do it justice.
