James O’Keefe’s Video Revelations Continue

NPR has made it crystal clear that scapegoated Ron Schiller’s loathing[1] for the decent, patriotic Americans who have taken part in Tea Parties is hardly an anomaly[2] among his former colleagues. Muslims, in contrast, they love. Here Betsy Liley, NPR’s Senior Director of Institutional Giving, offers to shield what she thinks is an Islamist group from government scrutiny by accepting a $5 million payment anonymously:

The Daily Caller[3] reports:

New video released Thursday afternoon indicates National Public Radio intended to accept a $5 million donation from fictitious Muslim Brotherhood[4] front group Muslim Education Action Center (MEAC) Trust — and that the publicly funded radio network might have helped MEAC make the donation anonymously to protect it from a federal government audit.

When a man posing as Ibrahim Kasaam asked, “It sounded like you were saying NPR would be able to shield us from a government audit, is that correct?” NPR’s senior director of institutional giving, Betsy Liley, responded, “I think that is the case, especially if you are anonymous. I can inquire about that.” According to conservative James O’Keefe, whose Project Verita[5]s organization conducted the NPR sting organization, the man posing as Kasaam made two follow-up phone calls to Liley after their lunch.

Liley said a $5 million donation would amount to about “10 years of support.”

Evidently this means the faux Muslims would get 10 years of guaranteed extra favorable coverage before having to pony up more cash.

Following their phone calls, Liley checked with NPR’s senior management, and sent an e-mail to the man posing as Kasaam saying MEAC was cleared to make an anonymous donation of $5 million.

“NPR can list MEAC as an anonymous donor in our database, which would mean we would not disclose the organization’s name,” Liley wrote in the e-mail to the fictitious Kasaam.

As you might expect from a liberal propaganda outfit, NPR has been lying through its teeth to the public:

That e-mail directly contradicts NPR’s public statements issued in the wake of O’Keefe’s first video. “The fraudulent organization represented in this video repeatedly pressed us to accept a $5 million check, with no strings attached, which we repeatedly refused to accept,” NPR spokeswoman Dana Davis Rehm said in NPR’s official response.

This is the direct equivalent of a news agency offering to keep secret a massive payment from Nazis during World War II, then lying about it. Even if she relies on her own execrable network for information, Liley could not help but be aware that most if not all Islamist groups support terrorism or are affiliated with those who do, obviously including the Muslim Brotherhood. When a mushroom cloud replaces Manhattan, it will be in part because people like her helped it to happen.

Anyone who ever sat through All Things Considered knows that the NPR people are irritating, condescending, mealy-mouthed moonbats. But that’s only their good side. Beneath the veneer of sanctimonious flakiness common to all liberals lies corruption, seething hatred of America and Americans, and an eagerness to come to secret arrangements with people devoted to killing us and erasing our way of life. The leftist ideologues who run public broadcasting aren’t our opponents; they are our enemies.

Meanwhile, as the nation goes bankrupt, your tax dollar continues to subsidize this obscenity.
