NBC Mocks Pearl Harbor Survivors On New Years Eve Special

Carson Daley is a douchebag. Not for mocking WWII Veterans, as the headline implies, but for standing by while a vapid actress did so on his show. Carson knows better — but like David Letterman, Bill Maher and so many other entertainers who once showed a modicum of balance, grounding — even a splash of courage — Carson has been in Showbiz too long.

image Some idiot named; “Natasha Leggero” who is also billed as a “comedienne” was appearing on NBC’s “New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly,” and actually made a joke about survivors of Pearl Harbor not being able to chew food, except for ‘SpaghettiOs.’ Yes, this actually happened on a network broadcast.

No, it wasn’t Keith Olberman, Melissa Harris-Perry, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, or even Martin Bashir come back from the unemployment line. But I don’t care about Natasha Legroom or any other wannabe who will be trolling the green room at the Melrose Improv in a couple years looking for a free drink.

imageCarson Daley and NBC are the issue here. Douchebag and Douchebag Broadcasting Network, Inc.

For those of you who just cannot believe this, and I didn’t either when I saw it go down on: Twitter: — here it is: (hat tip to Noel @ NewsBusters)

On Pearl Harbor Day, Campbell’s got in a lot of trouble when it tweeted out a picture of its SpaghettiOs mascot holding an American flag and asking people to “take a moment to remember #PearlHarbor with us.”

On NBC’s “New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly,” actress and comedienne Natasha Leggero and actress Jane Lynch joined Carson and remarked on the matter.

(transcript):

CARSON DALY, HOST: SpaghettiOs on Pearl Harbor Day, they sent out a tweet featuring their mascot holding an American flag asking people to quote “take a moment to remember #PearlHarbor with us.” It offended a lot of people, corporations glomming on to, you know, sentimental American historic traditions, seemingly looking for people in business. It wasn’t good. But you were offended for another reason.

JANE LYNCH: I’m offended because they were referring to SpaghettiOs as pasta.

NATASHA LEGGERO: I mean, it sucks that the only survivors of Pearl Harbor are being mocked by the only food they can still chew. It’s just sad.
The entire group thought this was hysterical, especially actor Anthony Anderson who proceeded to laugh as if this was the funniest thing he’d ever heard.

Carson damn sure knows he should have pulled back that mic and immediately stopped joking around for a full-blown apology to the survivors and families of the survivors of Pearl Harbor, World War II and all Veterans for the blood sacrifice making Carson Daley’s lifestyle possible.

And furthermore, Natasha should not have appeared at all again on camera — not even to apologize — because who gives a rat’s ass? And Jane Lynch? Well, you figure that one out and get back to me, okay? I’ll just call them “Natasha, Moose and Squirrel” if I get confused..

But Carson just played along. It’s all fun and games, isn’t it — Mr. Douchebag? I wonder where your father was when he was 20? Or your grandfather and your uncles? Maybe your mom or great Aunt served? But not you. You’ve grown into a sick liberal who doesn’t have the balls to stand up and be counted.

I happen to know Carson Daley was not raised like this. He knows better, but as I stated earlier — he’s just been in show-business too long. That bread has been buttered for so many years, he’s been praised so much and hung around with so many liberals minds that the thought of doing the right thing just never entered into it.

People are telling me — “hey this isn’t a conservative / liberal thing — I’m a liberal and I’m offended!!”.. Bullshit. This is a liberal thing. It’s a liberal network. This wouldn’t happen with conservatives you liberal, anti-military, anti-Veteran, anti-American pieces of Natasha.

That’s a fact, you steaming Douchebag. Go to hell.
