A soldier surprises his daughters dressed as Santa Claus — their reaction is priceless [Video]

This is the perfect Christmas gift for these two beautiful little girls. Daddy plays Santa and gives them a very happy surprise. When they finally realize it is their Dad standing there in the guise of Old Saint Nick, their smiles and tears light up the entire assembly. This is who we are and what we fight for. I can’t imagine how very hard it was on both of them to have their Dad away for a year in Korea. He’s home now and it will definitely be a Christmas to remember.

From Rare:

Captain Josh Risher was away from his family for a year. Sent on an unaccompanied tour in Korea, he wanted to do something special for his daughters for his homecoming so he went to their elementary school for help.

Dressed as Santa Claus, with the students gathered for an assembly, Risher finally got to see his girls.

Their reaction when he pulls off the beard and shows them who is behind the Santa costume is priceless.

Few things bring a tear to my eye more than this type of reunion. The love between a father and his daughters can’t be measured and this school helped him surprise his girls with the ultimate Christmas gift. After all the horrible news we all see every day, this is balm for the soul. I wonder if Mom will be as surprised as the little ones when he comes ho, ho, hoing home? No chimney or death defying gift delivery this year for Santa – lots of hugs and tears though. And probably cookies, milk and tons of love. They won’t need lights and tinsel to light their tree – they’ve got Daddy home now.
