Epic! You’ll Never Guess What Makes Obama ‘Feel Small’ When He Visits the Gym in Hawaii

When Obama goes to the gym in Hawaii, all those big strapping Marines make him ‘feel small.’ Imagine that. Heh – just epic. Having feelings of inadequacy are we? It must be demoralizing to have to hang around real men who are warriors. Hell, I bet even the women make this girly man feel inadequate. Obama claims to work out every day and we all know that he golfs far more than he governs. But for a guy that is such an acclaimed athlete by the media, his sycophants and by himself, he sure doesn’t look or act the part. To be fair, some of those Marines are probably twice his size and that might intimidate the best of us. But for Obama to even voice that he feels somehow less than his soldiers is a mistake. A leader should never do that and I don’t remember ever hearing another one say it before Obama.

KANEOHE BAY, Hawaii (AP) — President Barack Obama is one of the most powerful men in the world. He’s commander in chief of one of its mightiest militaries, too.

Yet in spite of all that, Obama feels inadequate from time to time. Especially when he’s vacationing in Hawaii and working out alongside strapping Marines at their gym.

“The only problem I’ve got when I’m here is having to work out with Marines in the gym,” Obama said during his annual Christmas Day visit with U.S. troops at Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe Bay. “Because I generally feel like your commander in chief is in pretty good shape, and then I get next to some guy, you know, curling 100 pounds and it makes me feel small.”

Obama works out at the base gym just about every day when he vacations here. With New Year’s Day approaching, though, he told the troops he’s inspired “to work harder so I can keep up with you next year.”

Perhaps using the “workout stuff” his wife, Michelle, had said she was getting him for Christmas.

The 6-foot-1 Obama is known to enjoy a daily workout whether he’s at home in the White House, traveling or on vacation. He also plays golf practically every weekend in Washington when the weather cooperates, and he swings his clubs just about daily during extended vacations on Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, or here in his native Hawaii.

The Obamas visit with the Marines every year while they are on their multi-million dollar Christmas vacation. Obama claims he looks forward to thanking them for their service. I find that to be extremely insincere considering the way he has gutted our military and dissed them at every turn. Everything Obama does has the feel of a scripted photo op. The Marines are noble and honor their Commander-in-Chief no matter what. The rest of America has trouble stomaching this. While our soldiers die on the battlefield, you’ll find Obama on the golf course. He has plenty to feel small for aside from working out in the gym with Marines. His statement was accurate on so many levels. While Obama lives large across the globe on our tax dollars, he says he feels small at the gym. His ego won’t stand for him feeling small. It’s more political theater and well-rehearsed pandering for the masses. If it was meant to be funny it failed.
