How many people would be willing to step in to help a random stranger when it meant putting themselves at risk? Sadly, not many — but veteran Joshua Anderson is not most people, and he didn’t hesitate to step in when he saw a pregnant woman being attacked by two men.

Joshua Anderson has been released of all charges and investigation intentions were dropped after shooting TWO armed men to protect a pregnant woman in self-defense. It all happened during a fight between the men Tuesday night at a beach in Port St. Lucie, located along Florida’s Atlantic coast. It’s been reported by NBC News that Brett Jowers allegedly pushed the pregnant girlfriend of the second man, Zachary Sly to the ground.

After the pregnant woman was on the ground, witnesses said that’s the moment Anderson stepped in to save the day. The Sheriff said:

“He saw a woman being attacked at night, and he went to her aid. In my opinion I think he did the right thing. You don’t have an obligation to allow yourself to be attacked.

Due to his disability, he would not be able to fend off an attack from both males, especially considering that one was somewhat larger than he was”.

The men are now in critical condition.

Thankfully, the sheriff’s office will not be filing any charges against Anderson, as they seem to possess some common sense. Liberals, however, will likely argue that Anderson hates homeless people and should have just let the pregnant woman be beaten to death, because using a gun to save someone’s life is surely the worst thing ever.
