Joshua Burch doesn’t remember getting paralyzed — he just woke up outside of his hotel room in Guam, where he was stationed while on active duty in the Marine Corps. It turned out that he had suffered a massive spinal cord injury, and initially, doctors said he would never walk again… but thanks to this amazing robotic exoskeleton, he can.

This exoskeleton is doing the walking for Burch, and he isn’t actually “walking” himself. But all the same — the advances in medicine are truly remarkable.
