West Point Cadets Forced To Sit Through “Transgender Day Of Remembrance”

One of the very first things President-elect Trump should do is put a stop to this in the military. For the fourth year in a row, West Point Cadets and other military schools are observing a “Transgender Day of Remembrance.” It’s obscene and simply should not be allowed in our military period. Cadets were given coloring books and therapy dogs. They attended ‘Transgender 101’ classes. I did not see any pics this year of forcing them to walk in high heels, but that has happened before as well. Talk about projecting weakness and perversion. It’s meant to humiliate our military… just what Obama ordered.

Headlining the event this year was Cadet Riley Dosh, who said that the United States ignores hate crimes against the LGBT community. Really? That’s just not true. Dosh stated: “Over the past year, innocent transgender people worldwide have lost their lives due to hate crimes,” Dosh said. “Many more died due to bias and hatred based on gender identity and expression. They were killed for coming out to friends and family, for being who they are. Their lives were cut too short unnecessarily. Our society, our police forces, our governments and the media largely ignore transgender hate crimes.” This is way overblown and once again… does not belong out in the public. If an issue arises in the military, there are procedures to handle it internally. Since when does the military whine and air their problems to the public?

From The Federalist Papers Project:

Because this is the new “normal,” the U.S. Military Academy forced its cadets to attend an annual “Transgender Day of Remembrance.”

The event is part of a new cultural initiative among U.S. military colleges that doesn’t quite fit with the idea of making battle-ready soldiers.

For example, Virginia Military Institute has stress-busters like coloring books and therapy dogs, and the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, recently hosted their “Transgender 101” workshop.

The Military Academy – called West Point – celebrated the special “Transgender Day of Remembrance” on Nov. 30 this year – its fourth year, The Daily Caller is reporting.

It came and went without much fanfare – except for a mention on their webpage.

The transgender day is described by its founder, Gwendolyn Smith, as an “international day of action” and was originally envisioned by the graphic designer to memorialize the murder of Rita Hester, a transgender woman who died in Massachusetts in 1998.

Neither the West Point website nor an accompanying article detailing this year’s event makes any connection between that event and the mandate of West Point to educate and train young men and women to be officers in the U.S. Army. Neither was there any suggestion that discrimination against transgendered people is an issue at the Academy.

I agree with those that say politicians have “forgotten the mission of the military is to defend the country,” not to engage in a social engineering experiment. That’s what Obama has turned the military into under his corrupt leadership. Ray Starmann, editor-in-chief of US Defense Watch, told the Daily Caller that transgender remembrance is caused by “social engineers who are cultural Marxists and guys at the top who won’t put their foot down” resulting in “more political correctness. Thank God General [James] Mattis is coming [as Defense Secretary],” he said. Mattis will put an end to this insanity. I don’t have any doubts about that.

The media did not cover this at all this year. They want it to become the norm. There is nothing normal about all this. I am hopeful Trump will change what has been forced on the military and make them the world class power that our military was under Reagan. It’s time to return to the books, training and discipline these schools and the military are known for. And I don’t mean coloring books.
