They're STILL talking about David Geffen's broadside into Hillary and Bill. But, note what they're NOT saying....from David Carr in the New York Times:

Last Friday, two days before the conclusion of the most closely contested Oscar race in recent memory, a dozen people from various parts of the entertainment industry sat down to lunch at the home of Arianna Huffington in Brentwood.

...Instead, the conversation was all about the media mogul David Geffen's drive-by maiming of the Clintons earlier in the week in remarks he made to Maureen Dowd of The New York Times. For over an hour, the people at the table debated his decision to take on Hillary Clinton, who is pursuing the Democratic nomination for president.

..."Everybody in politics lies, but they do it with such ease, it's troubling," he told Ms. Dowd. (Of course, many of Mr. Geffen's former business partners say that he has had his own idiosyncratic relationship with the truth.) Calling the former president a "reckless guy" deftly put the issue of Bill Clinton's behavior in the present tense. And at a moment when some of the smart money was poised to line up behind Mrs. Clinton's candidacy, Mr. Geffen was signaling that backing her may not be so smart after all.

You have to hand it to him: here it was, Oscar weekend, and at least nobody was talking about the failure of "Dreamgirls," Mr. Geffen's pet project, to get a best picture nomination.

"David Geffen gave voice to the collective unconscious of many people here," said Ms. Huffington, whose opposition to the Iraq war and Mrs. Clinton's candidacy has been on display on the Huffington Post Web site for some time. "The story would have been dead in a day if he was just speaking for himself, but these things are on everybody's mind."

Still, while Mr. Geffen hardly needs the money, you can understand why a lot of people here wish he still had a day job. (Mr. Geffen declined to elaborate on his remarks to Ms. Dowd.)

"I don't think that all of this is productive," said Warren Beatty, reached on his cellphone. "I think the media is looking for a big political story, and I think it is much more important to talk about the issues."

Now what did Carr, Huffington, and Beatty all NOT say? It's pretty significant if you think about it. Need another moment to think? Go ahead, I'll wait....

Ok, ready? What they're NOT saying is that what Geffen said is untrue. Everyone just acknowledges that the Clintons lie constantly, about everything. Geffen's faux pas was simply to be a liberal who was rude enough to say that out loud.

Expect more of these "big stories" in the coming months as other celebs and prominent libs who support Edwards and Obama have the audacity to publicly tell the truth about the Clintons and impeachment, Bill's man affairs, and what a polarizing and uncharismatic candidate Hillary would make for the Dems.
