John Hawkins This May Be Your Last Chance To Have An Impact In The Senate Amnesty Debate

Folks, we may have a vote for cloture as soon as tomorrow on this illegal immigration bill and the stakes are enormous.

This bill is one of the most disastrous pieces of legislation to come down the pike in the last 50 years. Not only will it not secure the border or stop illegal immigration, it will set up a never ending chain of amnesties that will add trillions to the national debt, demographically destroy the Republican Party, and permanently change our country for the worse.

It is possible that the bill could be stopped in the House, but because the GOP is outnumbered and has no filibuster, there's no guarantee that it will happen.

So, this may end up being our last, best shot to stop this bill. With that in mind, if you have never contacted your senator before and if you never do it again, do it today.

Your phone call, fax, or email could be the "straw that breaks the camel's back" and influences the last senator we need to filibuster the bill. Do it to help save the GOP in 2008. Do it to help save the GOP long term. Do it to help make sure your children get to live in a country that's as great as the one you're living in now.

So, whom do you contact?

#1) Pick up the phone and call your Senators. You can get the numbers and/or email addresses of your home state senators here.

#2) Call the National Republican Senatorial Committee at (202) 675-6000 and let them know that you will not support the reelection of any senator in 2008 who votes for the amnesty bill in the Senate.

#3) Call the Republican National Committee at (202) 863-8500 (option 1) and let them know you will not support any candidate in 2008 who votes for the amnesty bill in the Senate
Again, if you don't want to call them, email them or fax them.
