Kathy Shaidle Ezra Levant wins one

The radical imam whose complaint got publisher Ezra Levant hauled before a Canadian Human Rights Commission for publishing the "Mohammed" cartoons has (cough) seen the light.

His reasons for dropping the complaint (Levant still faces another from a different Muslim group) are lame, specious and rather suspicious.

But no matter: it's one victory for free speech and against radical Islamic "lawfare".

Ezra plans on suing the guy in a REAL courtroom, to get back the tens of thousands of dollars this nuisance complaint has cost him. Personally, I'd pay good money for a seat...

Bad news: the "case" against Mark Steyn, and the magazine that published a chapter from his book America Alone, is going forward.

You can follow both cases at FreeMarkSteyn.com, which updates daily and always offers a ton of great reading.

(Kathy Shaidle blogs at FiveFeetOfFury. Her new Mark Steyn-approved book is available here, along with a free preview chapter -- just hit the "Preview This Item" button)
