John Hawkins DC: The Place Where Attractive Single Women Turn Into Old Maids?

Because I work in politics for a living, I know a lot of women who live in D.C. and I've always been surprised at how hard they say it is to get a date in that town. I mean, we're talking about personable, successful, attractive women here -- exactly the sort you'd think would be in heavy demand.

The first couple of times I heard that, I wrote it off to their being single and having a skewed perspective because of that. But, after I heard it enough times, I figured that there must be something to it. Heck, Ann Coulter even wrote a column about it once and speculated that it was because men in D.C. didn't know how to properly ask a woman out.

Well today, after running across a link for CG, I think I was able to figure out what's happening: the Northern Virginia/D.C. area has what looks to be the 2nd biggest surplus concentration of single women in the entire country.

So, there you go. If you're an attractive single women in D.C. and have no idea why guys aren't asking you out, one of the mysteries of the ages has now been solved. The competition is just extremely fierce for women in your area because there is a glut of single women there. Fred from Scooby Doo and the Hardy Boys ain't got nothing on me.
