Thanks in part to the efforts of San Franfreakshow's drunken, degenerate Mayor Gavin Newsom, homosexual marriage has at least temporarily been deemed valid in the Land of Fruits and Nuts by judicial decree.

The orgy has already begun, with homosexuals pouring into the state from all over the country to participate in the official mocking of the sacrament of marriage. Newsom initiated the festivities by presiding over the grotesque parody of a wedding officially uniting a pair of shriveled, drooling, 80-something lesbians.

You would think the government would be more interested in coming up with new excuses to raise taxes than in defiling and destroying human civilization's most fundamental institution. But there's a method to the madness.

Liberals dominate the bureaucracy and may soon have complete control of the federal government. They dominate the courts. They dominate the media. They dominate education, both public and private. The only serious obstacle preventing progressives from remaking society according to their twisted visions is the family. Reducing marriage to a tasteless joke may not do as much damage to the family as welfare has done, but it's sure to take a toll.
