Katie Favazza Mosul, Iraq Launches First Economic Newspaper

For years now, the Left, in its attacks on the strategy in Iraq, has complained that no one really knows what success in Iraq looks like. It seemed beyond comprehension to envision a stable Iraq.

This year has been marked, however, by signs of success, including the Iraqis taking control of the Anbar province, once the most violent in all of Iraq.

Now, there's a new achievement to add to the list:

On Monday, the first edition of economic newspaper al-Madina al-Iqtesadiya was published in the city of Mosul, 405 km north of Baghdad.

According to the editor-in-chief, Emad al-Din al-Amin,"The paper will be published on a weekly basis and will be financed through advertisments and press services."

Congratulations to an increasingly stable and healthy Iraq--and to the men and women within Iraq and around the world who have helped make that victory possible.
