Liberal politics are so upside and backwards, they can make history run in reverse. Desperate to get away from the confiscatory taxes, stagnant economy, and social disintegration that are the unavoidable consequences of liberal rule, Californians are leaving in droves for the dustbowl.

Fleeing the Great Depression and a drought unprecedented in American history, a vast wave of Oklahomans and Texans dubbed "Okies" loaded everything they could onto crowded vehicles during the 1930s and headed west for California. Today, in huge numbers, their grandchildren are moving back. …

From 2004 through 2007, about 275,000 Californians left the Golden State for the old Dust Bowl states of Oklahoma and Texas, twice the number that left those two states for California, recent Internal Revenue Service figures show.

Don't worry, Governator. There are plenty of illegal aliens to take their place. You won't get much tax loot out of them, but you can always go to Chairman Zero for a bailout.

Eventually, the whole country will be California. Maybe people who want to work for a living instead of sponging of the government can escape to Canada.
