Answer: Great question, but tougher than you'd think to answer. Still, let me give it a shot -- although I am only giving out 8 books. (My right hand girl, Melissa Clouthier, already did a list, but since we only have two overlapping books, I thought it was okay to do my own list.)

8) Robert Ringer: Looking out for #1: This book essentially lays bare the philosophy underlying every human interaction and encourages you live your life accordingly.

7) Thomas Sowell: Basic Economics: Economics is often NOT intuitive, but if you don't have a basic understanding of it, much of life -- and politics -- will be a mystery to you. Sowell breaks it all down.

6) Robert Leckie: The Wars of America: This history of our country and, for that matter, of humankind, is the history of warfare. If you don't understand why we went to war and why we won or lost, then you don't understand history or how the world really works.

5) Tom-Butler-Bowdon: 50 Prosperity Classics: I actually just recently read this book -- and I wish I had read it before I was 18. I'm not in bad financial shape as is, but I would be considerably better off if I'd read this book when I was much younger.

4) Anthony Robbins: Awaken the Giant Within: How to Take Immediate Control of Your Mental, Emotional, Physical and Financial Destiny! (The best book of psychology I have ever read)

3) Dale Carnegie: How to Win Friends & Influence People: Anybody who reads this book and understands it will have better than average people skills. That will get you a long way in life.

2) Ayn Rand: Atlas Shrugged: (We're living it now, so people might as well see how it ends. PS: Even though this is a work of fiction, it really shaped my thinking.)

1) The Bible: (A bit hypocritical, since I haven't finished reading it cover to cover myself). If the Bible's too much for you, let me suggest The Complete Idiot's Guide to the Bible by Stuart Bell, Stan Campbell, James S. Bell It's fantastic.
