North Korea Threatens to Strike US Aircraft Carrier – Detains 3rd American

North Korean authorities have detained an unidentified American man as he was getting ready to fly out of Pyongyang International Airport on Saturday. Their reasons for doing so have not been released.

The United States State Department has announced that they are working on the case, which was confirmed by Martina Aberg who is the deputy chief of mission at the Swedish Embassy in Pyongyang.

From CNN:

“We are aware of reports that a US citizen was detained in North Korea,” said a department official. “The protection of US citizens is one of the Department’s highest priorities.”

The official said the US would work with the Swedish Embassy on the matter, but did not provide further comment.

The detained American is a professor with the frequently-used Korean surname “Kim,” according to South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency.

This man is known to be the 3rd American to be taken into custody by North Korean authorities.

This comes at a time when tensions between North Korea and America are sky-high. In fact, North Korea has announced that they are prepared to launch a strike against a United States aircraft carrier. I don’t know what that fat little piggie in the grey pantsuit thinks threats are going to do, especially against a country with larger and more capable nuclear weapons. He and his entire country would be reduced to ash before his pudgy little finger even reached the red button. Given that he’s also being faced with Chinese and Russian forces on his border like wolves at the gate, he’d better be really careful with who he messes with. It’s in Russia’s best interest to prevent a nuclear strike against North Korea, so they will do whatever it takes to protect themselves. Something tells me that includes elimination of any perceived threat.

If Kim Jong-Un was smart, he’d hand over the Americans without a fight. Of course, if he were smart, he wouldn’t be the leader of North Korea.
