Investigating the $2 Billion Sebelius Threw at Healthcare CO-OPs

We never did find out what happened to the $60 billion given to the avowed communist and “rowdy black nationalist” Van Jones by the Obama Regime to create mythical green jobs. But here’s a clue. It may have disappeared into the same alternate dimension as the fortune Kathleen Sebelius has lent to dubious health insurance CO-OPs.

Several leading GOP members of Congress are asking Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, under whose watch the Healthcare.gov website rollout has experienced one fiasco after another, to explain the $2 billion in taxpayer money loaned to various interests to get health insurance CO-OPs up and running — and whether the taxpayers will get any of that back.

Among the questions prominent senators are trying to get answers to:

“Out of the $1.98 billion awarded to CO-OPs, what amount does HHS expect to be repaid? What is the period of time by which HHS expects these funds to be repaid?”

The last time members of Congress attempted to wring information out of HHS regarding the Consumer Operated and Oriented Plans program, which funnels mountains of money to nonprofit health insurance issuers, it took them 9 months to get even a vague answer from an underling to concerns that the program is ineffective and that financial risk has been “significantly underestimated.”

At least one of the CO-OP plans that Supercilious has been throwing our money at was denied a license at the state level. Senators want to know if there are others, and what if anything taxpayers are getting for the squandered $2 billion.

Good luck wringing answers out of the Abortion Queen.

The Obama Regime is not a government. It is a looting spree.
