Outsiders Called In to Fix Website as ObamaCare Collapses Into Farce
After paying the Canadian firm CGI hundreds of $millions to build a website that should have cost only a tiny fraction of that, the Obama Regime has tacitly admitted that HealthCare.gov is a total failure:
The Department of Health and Human Services said Sunday it was bringing in outside help to resolve some of the technical woes that have beset the federally run insurance exchanges, which the agency acknowledged “has not lived up to the expectations of the American people.”
“We are committed to doing better,” agency officials said in a blog post that also said that “our team is bringing in some of the best and brightest from both inside and outside government to scrub in with the team and help improve healthcare.gov.”
Sort of like the Manhattan Project, except instead of harnessing the power of the atom, these boobs are simply trying to get a website to work.
They really must be desperate to bring in outside help, considering that before they were unwilling to do so:
Facing such intense opposition from congressional Republicans, the administration was in a bunker mentality as it built the enrollment system, one former administration official said. Officials feared that if they called on outsiders to help with the technical details of how to run a commerce website, those companies could be subpoenaed by Hill Republicans, the former aide said. So the task fell to trusted campaign tech experts.
These “trusted campaign tech experts” get an A+ for political fealty, but an F for having any clue what they are doing. The important thing was not to build a website efficiently, but to maintain the 100% opaque “transparency” that characterizes the Regime of Hope & Change.
Brace yourself for new revelations as to exactly what it means to let a Marxist community organizer and his anti-capitalist collaborators seize control of the healthcare industry.
No wonder Consumer Reports advises the public to “stay away from Healthcare.gov.”
